What “Republican War on Women?”

I have to laugh every time I hear the phrase “Republican War on Women” perhaps ‘I gag’ is a better characterization of my response.
There is no Republican war on women – there is a Political war on women. Both parties are using women as pawns and it is because we are rated by both parties as second class citizens of little value except as a partisan voting block. We have been fighting for Equal rights since shortly after we fought and won the right to vote.  Most recently, about 65 years ago, women started a new push for Equal Rights and to be recognized a first class citizens with a voice of our own BUT the movement’s leaders SOLD OUT to the political parties and splintered into special interest groups instead. Women have been divided into liberal and conservative camps ever since serving the political parties and the patriarchy perfectly. Instead of amounting to a majority force of 52% they are instead about evenly divided into a weak 25% of which very few bother to mount much of a fight for ERA but instead join forces against other women with the political party they have aligned with if they get involved at all. Instead of a majority force of 52% women they have become absorbed into the male minority which only brings so-called women’s issues in order to further keep the majority from uniting.

When will we learn that if we want Justice for the women and girls in this lifetime we need the ERA? If we want the ERA, we are going to have to fight for it ourselves outside of the two party system and it will take an army of women applying pressure and threats of withholding votes and support which is all politicians understand. A million of us on the DC steps threatening to vote them out should speak to them.

No self respecting woman should wish or work for the success of a party that ignores her sex.”
— Susan B Anthony, 1872 Read more: http://www.city-data.com/forum/elections/475371-what-has-democratic-party-done-women.html#ixzz1pCdrdPKO

If we want such a voice we will need women – lots of women – and we will need women from both sides of the aisle and from the center to get our message understood. Our message is United we Stand, their message is, divided they fall.

To get more women involved – we must stop the infighting and we can do it best by stopping the divisiveness that separates the majority into two or more camps of women making them enemies instead of allies?

I am sick to death of hearing  “the Republicans hold women back!” It’s not just the Republicans, we have been trying to get this done during the reign of both parties for example, most recently during the last 2 years of Bush and clearly the first 2 years of Obama’s administration when the Democrats had full control and the majority in both houses – I didn’t see the Dems shake any trees for women for the ERA. It wasn’t even on the table for the Dems or for any women’s group as a top priority either. So how about we stop the party politics and divisive single issue mantra and start to fight FOR what we really need and want by bringing all women together.

I think it is disingenuous to teach Democratic women to constantly bash Republicans – and by extension the republican women in this fight when the fight during our lifetime has not been the total fault of any one party and certainly not of Republican women who feel insulted by this constant bashing. What do you suppose they think of Dem women who say things like this when they know that liberal politics has drastically changed women’s lives and yet not garnered ALL women EQUALITY or EQUAL PAY in solidarity but rather changed the fight to some women’s issues that did not square with the majority at all but instead fights for minority issues disregarding the ERA big picture.

Remember- When the Democratic Party refused to support women’s suffrage, the National Woman’s Party sought to punish the party by campaigning on behalf of the Republican Party.

Women’s Rights Convention In 1848, the Women’s Right Convention took place in Seneca Falls, New York; thus began the women’s suffrage movement in the United States. A national meeting was held in 1850 in Worcester, Massachusetts; then, in 1870, suffragettes Lucy Stone and Mary Livermore were seated as delegates at the Massachusetts Republican State Convention.

In 1872 at the Republican National Convention, a resolution was passed supporting admission of women “to wider fields of usefulness.” In addition to this resolution was the declaration that “the honest demand of this class of citizens for additional rights . . . should be treated with respectful consideration.” Read more at Suite101: Women and the Republican Party: Suffrage Rights First Fought for by Republicans | Suite101.com http://lindasuegrimes.suite101.com/women-and-the-republican-party-a67082#ixzz1pCc4dr6V

It is also disingenuous to teach Republican women to bash Democrats and their women when much of the progress we have made has been accomplished by the hard work and dedication of proud democrats who are fighting for women’s rights. Where would we be without the hard work of all the women who came before us and fought for better working conditions, better jobs and management positions, better pay, men’s support for more egalitarian family practices, family leave, better educational opportunities including Titles 7 & 9, sexual harassment laws, and so much more.

How can we forget or deny the focus changed and no longer applied to the majority of women and as we lost the focus – women split into conservative and liberal groups and right into the hands of the patriarchy and instead of bringing us back together to get ERA for the Majority – the 52% of all women which inclusive of the all minority women and including both parties and in the interest of justice – we come together on this issue that benefits all women and unites us in a common goal rather than divides us by what we do not share. Shall we instead continue to drag ourselves down listening to those who insist on bringing divisive issues prompted by politicians and their politics into it? These are political hacks and shills not ERA proponents with women’s best interests in mind – if it were not so – they would be binding all women together under the banner for which they fight.

As a woman I must ask each of you — are we all valuable except for women of the opposite party- or sexual preference, or religion, or color?

And if it really were over politics alone explain what happened during the women’s movement there was a * 40 year dry spell for Republicans what did the Democrats do for women?

When the 104th Congress began in January of 1995, it was the first time since the 83rd Congress of 1953—1955 that the Republicans had control of both the House and Senate. They had never controlled the House during the forty-year period of Democratic rule, and only briefly controlled the Senate, during the 97th through 99th Congresses of 1981—1987. http://www.lewrockwell.com/vance/vance96.html

During that drought it was Republican women who marched together with Democrats until politicians helped divide us. To hell with Shaffeley on the Right and her counterpart haters on the Left- let us march together down the center and get it done! Gimme a break – just bring women together to fight FOR something instead of always playing politics. Neither party (of the men, by the men, for the men or church ) and  gives a Rat’s Pitudy about women – it’s up to us to do for ourselves – that is what we should be concentrating on instead of fighting the game set us up to fight – it’s a men’s politics game! There is no republican war on women – there is a misogynist war on women.  Let’s play our own game by our own rules and win Equal Rights for women!

*”A once and often worthy civil rights movement has become a mere parody of its former self.” and: “Time was when real feminists fought for the right of little girls to be educated as well as little boys. Time was when they fought protracted and heartbreaking battles for women[s right to vote. Time was when they fought for the right to own their own property, to be in charge of their own monies, to be eqjuals before the law.
Time was when there were heroines such as Abigail Adams, Lucretia Mott, Sojourner Truth, Susan B. Anthony, and Elizabeth Cady Stanton. Whatever their personal vagaries, oddities, and conflicts may have been, they all fought for core values, values which included women having equal rights in education, in politics, in their homes, and before the law. They fought and suffered on behalf of future generations of women, and the victories they did achieve were made possible by changing laws and/or amending the Constitution–amendments which gave the vote to blacks and women. We don’t see enough of such women anymore.” ~Cynthia Ruccia

Enough already using women as pawns- we are not this stupid. There is a war on women alright but it is not just from the Republicans. It’s ALSO from the Dems blaming the Republicans! We do not need to be told there is a war on women – we know it and we also know we are being used. Both parties want our votes. If you’re not going to be a puppet being used by the left or the right, then why not stand up and ask if either party gave a damned why aren’t they putting more women on their slates? Are they picking lady VP’s this year? Are they filling their cabinets half full of women? War on women INDEED! The original suffragists had the right idea a National Woman’s Party could be bigger and stronger than either of these two lame ducks who would be nothing without us!

“One Nation” (Of Commies, Unions, & Other Leftist Extremists)…Trashing The Mall

Thanks to Lucianne.com, Kristinn Taylor, Jim Hoft at Big Government and Gateway Pundit, Connie Hair at Human Events, Liberty Central, Lagniappe’s Lair, Hancaqan.com, Verum Serum and FreeStateRevolution for the links (and all who linked or sent this on Twitter & Facebook). Thanks to Chris at DaybyDay Cartoons who also used some of the photos for this cartoon.

Today was the day that an assortment of Left-wing groups, labor unions, Democrats and the NAACCP rallied on the steps of the Lincoln Memorial to “counter” the genuine grassroots Tea Party movement.

Judging from the results, the astroturfers, many of whom offered free bus rides and box lunches, couldn’t come close to Glenn Beck’s August 28th rally, held in the same area.
But the liberals sure left their mark behind. This was on one side of the reflecting pool.

On the base of the Lincoln Memorial, near the “stage.”
Even up on the Mall, near the Smithsonian.

On my walk back to the Arlington Cemetery Metro station, I found several of those union paid-for boxed lunches were left for someone else to pick up, on the Memorial Bridge.
This was at the Roslynn Metro.

Some Leftist thought so highly of Old Glory to treat it like trash.

At the entrance of the Museum of Art.

Look for the Union Label.

The tone was much different from the August 28th rally Glenn Beck held. Whatever you might think of him (I admire him for exposing a lot of what he has, but sometimes his presentation isn’t necessarily my cup of tea), his rally was positive and was mostly apolitical.

The One Nation rally was….well…how can I put it. It was hard to tell if it was an “anti-war” rally or what. Basically, it was a Grievance Fest of different Leftist organizations for this cause or that cause. It was also an opportunity to bash the “teabaggers” (that homosexual slur was on a lot of signs), as well as promote Communism and socialism. In other words, the most extreme element of the Left, far removed from the American mainstream.

Tea Party, GOP, & Fox News Bashers

The Left (and Obama’s) favorite response (above).

One of Jeremiah Wright’s flock?
Even the Hillary Clinton wasn’t well liked…

Communists, Socialists & Other Extremists

The Freedom Socialist Party (isn’t that oxymoronic?).

Their table….

Full of Communist literature…

No wonder the “Smash Capitalism”

And proof that Obama and ACORN are linked….

The Anti-War, Anti-Military, Anti-Israel Crowd

The Jew-haters were present

And the “Stop the War because we’re the bad guys” clowns.

A member of Iraq Veterans (Many of Whom Didn’t Serve In Iraq) Against The War, holding ready made signs for International ANSWER, the front group for the neo-Stalinist Workers’ World Party.

So if the “peace movement” was really about peace, they why are they always on the side of America’s enemies (Communists and Islamofascists)?

I did see Susie “Medea” Benjamin and her little sissy boy, Tigue while I was driving down Constitution Ave. I starled them with a honk of my horn

.Etc.. Etc…
Here’s the US Flag, desecrated in the colors of the Black Power movement.

(Illegal) immigrant’s “rights”

This guy, near the Smithsonian, wasn’t happy with the pro-illegal alien element. I wasn’t sure if he was part of One Nation or not, but he was calling Obama a “sellout” and said “don’t let him throw black people under the bus.”
The “reparations” crowd

The Unions

Most of the crowd “looked the same.” What I mean by that, is you could identify them with whatever labor union they were with. AFL-CIO, (S)SEIU, Teamsters, AFT, NEA, you name it.
…and they’re teaching our kids.

More good jobs, for whom?

All about “decent” union jobs. Thanks for the answer.

Some of the unions didn’t get their money’s worth out of their workers. I encountered these union members who were at the National Air & Space Museum, instead of the rally.

The NAACCP, the Democrats and just about every other group has accused the Tea Party of every kind of extremism under the sun. Judging from “One Nation,” Ben Jealous and his followers are the extremists. Jealous could not even say “One Nation Under God” during his speech (he left out the God part).

I have news for Ben…communists, socialists, Israel haters, Islamofascist terrorist enablers, are not part of the American mainstream. So the next time you want to see an extremist, head for the nearest member, Ben. And I look forward to the day some politician has the balls to challenge and take away the NAACCP’s tax-exempt status.

* NOTE- Approximately 175,000 leftists from 400 different liberal groups managed to insult America and her taxpaying, law abiding men, women and children citizens in every way imaginable. They carried freedom of speech to its very limits both verbally and with their signs and pamphlets and left our Capital looking like a garbage dump upon leaving.

A month earlier other Americans- nearly a million of them came with love in their hearts, not one hateful sign and not one hateful sound. When they left they was no sign of they were there let alone the filth, food and garbage. Clearly a better characterization of Americans was depicted on 8/26/10 than was demonstrated by this circus troupe on 10/2/10 and I shudder to contemplate what out Capital will have to endure on 10/30/10 when the head clowns put on their Halloween parade on 10/30/10.

On 8/28  there was a second rally, it too was a leftist rally and it too smacked of a lack of decorum. It appears the left just doesn’t know how to behave. America- wake up!

The Greatest Story Never Told: UN Agenda 21 and YOU

Thanks, BJ, for the invitation to blog. First a bit about us, and then some info on UN Agenda 21.

We are registered Democrats, life-long, who have become aware of the United Nations Agenda 21 negative impacts on our local, regional, and national government.

We are civil rights advocates, pro-choice, and pro-gay marriage, who until recently considered ourselves ‘progressive Democrats.’ We are university educated, middle income professionals who seek to make common cause with others in the United States who share our concerns.

We are engaged in educating ourselves, our peers, and our country about UN Agenda 21, ICLEI, Sustainable Development, Smart Growth, Form-Based Zoning, Green Energy Mandates, Carbon Offsets, Cap and Trade, Redevelopment and other programs that restrict our land rights and civil rights. This vitally important information transcends party lines and illuminates much of what we have witnessed over the past two decades.

Have you wondered where these terms ‘sustainability’ and ‘smart growth’ and ‘high density urban mixed use development’ came from? Doesn’t it seem like about 10 years ago you’d never heard of them and now everything seems to include these concepts? Is that just a coincidence? That every town and county and state and nation in the world would be changing their land use/planning codes and government policies to align themselves with…what?

First, before I get going, I want to say that yes, I know it’s a small world and it takes a village and we’re all one planet etc. I also know that we have a democracy and that as cumbersome as that can be sometimes (Donald Rumsfeld said that the Chinese have it easy; they don’t have to ask their people if they agree. And Bush Junior said that it would be great to have a dictator as long as he was the dictator), we have a three branch government and the Bill of Rights, Constitution, and self-determination. This is one of the reasons why people want to come to the US, right? We don’t have Tiananmen Square here, generally speaking (yes, I remember Kent State–not the same, and yes, an outrage.) So I’m not against making certain issues a priority, such as mindful energy use, alternative energy sponsorship, recycling/reuse, and sensitivity to all living creatures.

But then you have UN Agenda 21. What is it? We’d like to encourage you to read through our site, familiarize yourself with the following information, and follow the links, but please come back. We’ll give you a brief synopsis first.

Considering its policies are woven into all the General Plans of the cities and counties, it’s important for people to know where these policies are coming from. While many people support the United Nations for its peacemaking efforts, hardly anyone knows that they have very specific land use policies that they would like to see implemented in every city, county, state and nation. The specific plan is called United Nations Agenda 21 Sustainable Development. By now, most Americans have heard of sustainable development but are largely unaware of Agenda 21.

In a nutshell, the plan calls for governments to take control of all land use and not leave any of the decision making in the hands of private property owners. It is assumed that people are not good stewards of their land and the government will do a better job if they are in control. Individual rights in general are to give way to the needs of communities as determined by the governing body. Moreover, people should be rounded up off the land and packed into human settlements, or islands of human habitation, close to employment centers and transportation. Another program, called the Wildlands Project spells out how most of the land is to be set aside for non-humans.

U.N. Agenda 21 cites the affluence of Americans as being a major problem which needs to be corrected. It calls for lowering the standard of living for Americans so that the people in poorer countries will have more, a redistribution of wealth. Although people around the world aspire to achieve the levels of prosperity we have in our country, and will risk their lives to get here, Americans are cast in a very negative light and need to be taken down to a condition closer to average in the world. Only then, they say, will there be social justice which is a cornerstone of the U.N. Agenda 21 plan.

Agenda 21 policies date back to the 70’s but it got its real start in 1992 at the Earth Summit in Rio de Janeiro when President Bush signed onto it. President Clinton signed it later and continued the program in the United States. A non-governmental organization called the International Council of Local Environmental Initiatives, ICLEI, is tasked with carrying out the goals of Agenda 21. Over 500 cities in the U.S. are members; our town joined in 2007. The costs are paid by taxpayers.

It’s time that people educate themselves and read the document and related commentary. After that, get a copy of your city or county’s General Plan and read it. You will find all sorts of policies that are nearly identical to those in U.N. Agenda 21. Unfortunately, their policies have advanced largely unnoticed and we are now in the end game. People need to identify their elected officials who are promoting the U.N.’s policies and hold them accountable for their actions. Only when we’ve identified who the people are and what they are trying to do will we be able to evaluate whether or not we approve of the policies they are putting forward. Some people may think it’s appropriate for agencies outside the United States to set our policies and some people will not. The question is, aren’t Americans able to develop their own policies? Should we rely on an organization that consists of member nations that have different forms of governments, most of which do not value individual rights as much as we do? It’s time to bring U.N. Agenda 21 out in the open where we can have these debates and then set our own policies in accordance with our Constitution and Bill of Rights.

Ok, you say, interesting, but I don’t see how that really affects me. Here are a few ways:

No matter where you live, I’ll bet that there have been hundreds of condos built in the center of your town recently. Over the last ten years there has been a ‘planning revolution’ across the US. Nearly everything that got approvals for development was designed the same way: ground floor retail with two stories of residential above. Mixed use. Very hard to finance for construction, and very hard to manage since it has to have a high density of people in order to justify the retail. A lot of it is empty and most of the ground floor retail is empty too. High bankruptcy rate.

So what?

Most of your towns provided funding and/or infrastructure development for these private projects. They used Redevelopment Agency funds. Your money. Specifically, your property taxes. Notice how there’s very little money in your General Funds now, and most of that is going to pay Police and Fire? Your street lights are off, your parks are shaggy, your roads are pot-holed, your hospitals are closing. The money that should be used for these things is diverted into the Redevelopment Agency. It’s the only agency in government that can float a bond without a vote of the people. And they did that, and now you’re paying off those bonds for the next 45 years with your property taxes. Did you know that?

So, what does this have to do with Agenda 21?

Redevelopment is a tool used to further the Agenda 21 vision of remaking America’s cities. By declaring an area of town ‘blighted’ (and in some cities over 90% of the city area has been declared blighted) the property taxes in that area can be diverted away from the General Fund. This constriction of available funds will impoverish the cities, forcing them to offer less and less services, and reducing your standard of living. They’ll be telling you that it’s better, however, since they’ve put in nice street lights and colored paving. Smart Growth. They’ve had thousands of condos built in the redevelopment areas and are telling you that you are terrible for wanting your own yard, for wanting privacy, for not wanting to be dictated to by a Condo Homeowner’s Association Board, for being anti-social, for not going along to get along, for not moving into a cramped condo downtown where they can use your property taxes for paying off that huge bond debt. But it’s not working, and you don’t want to move in there. So they have to make you. Read on.

Human habitation, as it is referred to now, is restricted to lands within the Urban Growth Boundaries of the city. Only certain building designs are permitted. Rural property is more and more restricted in what uses can be on it. Although counties say that they support agricultural uses, eating locally produced food, farmer’s markets, etc, in fact there are so many regulations restricting water and land use (there are scenic corridors, inland rural corridors, baylands corridors, area plans, specific plans, redevelopment plans, huge fees, fines) that farmers are losing their lands altogether. The push is for people to get off of the land, come into the cities. To get out of the suburbs and into the cities. Out of their private homes and into condos. Out of their private cars and onto their bikes.

Bikes. What does that have to do with it? I like to ride my bike and so do you. So what? Bicycle advocacy groups are very powerful now. Advocacy. A fancy word for lobbying, influencing, and maybe strong-arming the public and politicians. What’s the conection with bike groups? National groups such as Complete Streets, Thunderhead Alliance, and others, have training programs teaching their members how to pressure for redevelopment, and training candidates for office. It’s not just about bike lanes, it’s about remaking cities and rural areas to the ‘sustainable model’. High density urban development without parking for cars is the goal. This means that whole towns need to be demolished and rebuilt in the image of sustainable development. Bike groups are being used as the ‘shock troops’ for this plan.

What plan? We’re losing our homes since this recession/depression began, and many of us could never afford those homes to begin with. We got cheap money, used whatever we had to squeak into those homes, and now some of us lost them. We were lured, indebted, and sunk. Whole neighborhoods are empty in some places. Some are being bulldozed. Cities cannot afford to extend services outside of their core areas. Slowly, people will not be able to afford single family homes. Will not be able to afford private cars. Will be more dependent. More restricted.

This plan is a whole life plan. It involves the educational system, the energy market, the transportation system, the governmental system, the health care system, food production, and more. The plan is to restrict your choices, limit your funds, narrow your freedoms, and take away your voice. One of the ways is by using the Delphi Technique to ‘manufacture consensus.’ Another is to infiltrate community groups or actually start neighborhood associations with hand-picked ‘leaders’. Another is to groom and train future candidates for local offices. Another is to sponsor non-governmental groups that go into schools and train children. Another is to offer grants and funding for programs that further the agenda. Another is to educate a new generation of land use planners to require New Urbanism. Another is to reduce factories, introduce energy measures that penalize manufacturing, and set energy consumption goals to pre-1985 levels. Another is to allow unregulated immigration in order to lower standards of living and drain local resources.

Americans Rising: November 2, 2010

America Rising : An open letter to the Democrat Polsters

This video doesn’t exactly represent our point of view–we never fell for Obama’s “hope and change” scam–but it does speak for many millions of Americans. It’s nicely done. We’ll see a lot more of this kind of populist calling of Democrats to account between now and November:

All eyes back on Olympia Snowe

The Senate began debating President Obama’s health care takeover plan this week. Most of the attention has been placed on several swing-vote Democrats who might oppose the bill. But with the exception of Sen. Joe Lieberman (D-CT), these Democrats will likely find an excuse to support it.

Ten Democrats, including Nelson, Mary Landrieu of Louisiana, Sherrod Brown of Ohio and Russ Feingold of Wisconsin, met for three hours yesterday to discuss ways to resolve several issues including the proposed public option. The group plans to meet again today.
Senators Ben Nelson (D-NE), Mary Landrieu (D-LA), and Blanche Lincoln (D-AR) cannot be counted on to do the right thing. They have made up their minds to vote for the bill if necessary and just need an excuse. If Sen. Lieberman holds firm, President Obama will need one Republican to cross the aisle to provide the 60th vote needed to invoke cloture, cut off debate, and pass the bill.

One of the next fights for the health-care industry may be a bipartisan proposal that would allow pharmacists, wholesalers and some individual consumers to import lower-cost prescription drugs from Canada and other countries.

Nine senators led by Snowe and North Dakota Democrat Byron Dorgan are pushing for the amendment. Drugmakers are opposed, saying the plan would endanger patient safety and hurt industry innovation
Sen. Olympia Snowe (R-ME) is the Republican most likely to support the bill. She voted for it in committee and is currently working to make small changes that could be used to justify her support. Sen. Snowe voted against the bill before Thanksgiving so it’s very important for Americans to thank her for that vote and encourage her to be strong.

Please call Sen. Snowe’s Washington office at (202) 224-5344 or send her an email here.

Second Vote Against Transparency

For the second time this year the Democrats have voted against transparency andby voting against posting a bill online 72 hours before it the vote. Transparency was a huge theme in the last election, this administration claimed it would be the most transparent in history, and while this vote is not President Obama fault, it shows that the Democrats, as a whole, are not living up to the promises of last election. Posting bills online prior to a vote was specifically mentioned during the 2008 race, and now that it is no longer politically convenient, transparency has been thrown overboard.

Democrats’ Second Vote Against Transparency

545 vs. 300,000,000

By Charlie Reese
Charley Reese has been a journalist for 49 years.

545 vs. 300,000,000

Politicians are the only people in the world who create problems and then campaign against them.

Have you ever wondered, if both the Democrats and the Republicans are against deficits, WHY do we have deficits?

Have you ever wondered, if all the politicians are against inflation and high taxes, WHY do we have inflation and high taxes?

You and I don’t propose a federal budget.  The president does.

You and I don’t have the Constitutional authority to vote on appropriations. The House of Representatives does.

You and I don’t write the tax code, Congress does.

You and I don’t set fiscal policy, Congress does.

You and I don’t control monetary policy, the Federal Reserve Bank does.

One hundred senators, 435 congressmen, one  president, and nine Supreme Court justices equates to 545 human  beings out of the 300 million are directly, legally, morally,  and individually responsible for the domestic problems that plague  this country.

I excluded the members of the Federal Reserve Board because that problem was created by the Congress.   In 1913, Congress delegated its Constitutional duty to provide a sound currency to a federally chartered, but private, central bank.

I excluded all the special interests and lobbyists for a sound reason.  They have no legal authority.  They have no ability to coerce a senator, a congressman, or a president to do one cotton-picking thing.   I don’t care if they offer a politician $1 million dollars in cash.  The politician has the power to accept or reject it. No matter what the lobbyist promises, it is the legislator’s responsibility to determine how he votes.

Those 545 human beings spend much of their energy convincing you that what they did is not their fault. They cooperate in this common con regardless of party.

What separates a politician from a normal human being is an excessive amount of gall.   No normal human being would have the gall of a Speaker, who stood up and criticized the President for creating deficits. The president can only propose a budget. He cannot force the Congress to accept it.

What you do with this article now that you have read it ………. Is up to you.

The Constitution, which is the supreme law of the land, gives sole responsibility to the House of Representatives for originating and approving appropriations and taxes.  Who is the speaker of the House?   Nancy Pelosi.  She is the leader of the majority party. She and fellow House members, not the president, can approve any budget they want.  If the president vetoes it, they can pass it over his veto if they agree to.

It seems inconceivable to me that a nation of 300 million cannot replace 545 people who stand convicted — by present facts — of incompetence and irresponsibility. I can’t think of a single domestic problem that is not traceable directly to those 545 people. When you fully grasp the plain truth that 545 people exercise the power of the federal government, then it must follow that what exists is what they want to exist.
If the tax code is unfair, it’s because they want it unfair.

If the budget is in the red, it’s because they want it in the red.

If the Army & Marines are in   IRAQ, it’s because they want them in IRAQ

If they do not receive social security but are on an elite retirement plan not available to the people, it’s because they want it that way.

There are no insoluble government problems.

Do not let these 545 people shift the blame to bureaucrats, whom they hire and whose jobs they can abolish; to lobbyists, whose gifts and advice they can reject; to regulators, to whom they give the power to regulate and from whom they can take this power. Above all, do not let them con you into the belief that there exists disembodied mystical forces like “the economy,” “inflation,” or “politics” that prevent them from doing what they take an oath to do.
Those 545 people, and they alone, are responsible.
They and they alone, have the power.

They and they alone, should be held accountable by the people who are their bosses.

Provided the voters have the gumption to manage their own employees.

We should vote all of them out of office and clean up their mess!

Michelle is targeted for elimination

Another Rant by: BettyJean Kling

At this rate we will not have any female representation. Hillary is no longer a Senator, Sarah is no longer a Governor and now they are after Michelle Bachman. Targeted for elimination by the Democrats, no woman is safe. Remember what they said about Hillary, what they did to Sarah and now they are starting on Michelle—are we going to let this continue until there are no women left except those who play ball by the good old boys rules? Wake up America! Free US Now!

Hillary 07, 08, 09                             Sarah 08, 09                                Michelle Bachman 09

Female Targets are piling up. Like notches on a gun, the democrats are honing their skills at taking out female politicians. For nearly three seasons now they have had free rein attacking females in a way they have never attacked a male.

For example, in the news references often state Michelle Bachman is bizarre, the mother of a large family, she is just plain nuts. Her party and her constituents love her but the Dems are clearly out to take her down.

“She is so principally and diametrically opposed to the core principles that we have,” Donald McFarland, a Minnesota-based Democratic strategist, said of Bachmann. “She is further to the right than Attila the Hun.”

“She’s the poster girl for the radical fringe element,” added Brian Smoot, who served as political director at the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee last campaign cycle.

Now that former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin is out of office, there are few Republican officials in the country Democrats would rather unseat in 2010 than Bachmann, a two-term congresswoman with a habit of pushing the buttons of liberals on everything from ACORN to global warming to even whether President Barack Obama is, as she once asked, “anti-American.”

“She’s definitely somewhere up there,” Bachmann chief of staff Michelle Martson said of where the Minnesota congresswoman sits on the Democratic campaign hit-list.

Hispanic firefighter was labeled as Uncle Tom and traitor

Another Rant By: BettyJean Kling

Ben Vargas was labeled traitor but I believe anyone calling this hero an Uncle Tom is a RACIST . It is about time that people of color and Latino’s and others stop using their minority as a crutch to hold them back, down or in a lower position. This man is a hero to me- I cried my heart out in my car in a parking lot. I was spellbound listening to this courageous man tell the truth and stand up like a man and do the right thing. TMU Gives him the citizen of the week award!

Ricci was labeled a whistleblower and a serial complainer. What kind of a country is this when we cannot have our day in court without being smeared by our government and having the full force of the government’s money behind them. Remember what they did to Joe the plumber who was standing in his own driveway when he was approached by Obama? And I am about to start a poll- asking if it is my imagination or not but I am beginning to think that democrats are now more vicious than republicans. When did this happen? Is this the change Obama administration promised or have I been under a bushel for a very long time?

On this day in 1865

Having never been a Republican and spending most of my adult life as a Democrat – I am ashamed to have spent 40 years figuring out the Republicans have been far more progressive in human rights than have democrats. A month go I learned that it was a Republican that brought us the ERA and a Democrat who brought it to a halt with the help of one conservative Republican woman named Shaffely.

Now I hear Dems voted against ratifying the 13th amendment? Tell me it ain’t so? Guess I should have paid better attention in school or just less attention to Dem’s propaganda.  No matter – I am now a woman without a party- an Independent. Seems the Republicans have managed to get the blacks their rights and sat back allowing them to steal themselves a presidency too.

Even animals have rights on the books – some worry more about bears, and wolves than they do about women’s rights! Hell a candidate will not even be considered for office in many cases if he hunts but if he cheated or divorced his cancer ridden wife – who gives a shit?  We are slaughtered daily with less than concern than the seals in the Arctic.

I tell you ladies – if you are sitting around waiting for your turn –you can wait till hell freezes over – your turn ain’t coming and you ought to know that by now. I am asking you again and not for the last time- as I intend to pound away at these keys till my fingers fall clean off – RISE damned it RISE! It will be up to us women alone to get us what should be rightfully ours- cause them men from either  party ain’t gonna actually give us any rights any time soon.  What are we waiting for?

On this day in 1865, the 13th Amendment — abolishing slavery — became part of the U.S. Constitution — when ratified by three-quarters of the states.

Despite protests from the Democrats, the Republican Party made banning slavery part of its national platform in 1864. Senator Lyman Trumbull (R-IL) wrote the final version of the text, combining the proposed wordings of several other Republican congressmen.

All Republicans in Congress voted for the 13th Amendment, while nearly all Democrats voted against it. So strongly did President Abraham Lincoln (R-IL) support the 13th Amendment, he insisted on signing the document, though presidential approval is not part of the amendment process.
