“It’s about EQUALITY “

BettyJean Downing

I get weary trying towomen-logoOrtiz figure out a new and different way to say – “It’s about EQUALITY”, How many different ways can one present such a simple concept? If you are a liberal you claim to understand this principle,  yet you are intolerant of a multitude of persons and ideals of half of your countrypersons.  If you are a conservative, likewise you claim to know God and follow his precept that All Men (and women) are created equal, yet you treat the majority of our citizens as beneath you at best.

What a conundrum the two party system has inflicted upon our nation, successfully offering a supposedly free nation two options and only two, which are diametrically opposed yet the same in terms of standing as an antithesis to the precepts the Constitution was written to promote. Such is the frailty of mankind. Womankind, on the other hand, seems helpless to grab the brass ring.

I must admit, when I witness the vote results, I often ponder why we allow everyone to vote, and I can easily understand why the founders elected to restrict the vote to those with enough sense to understand what they were actually voting for. Initially, the founders were interested in creating a country greater than the sum of its parts, a country free from oppression, freedom to worship so that no one would be burdened by the religious dogma of another. And yet here we are with part of the country hopelessly liberal and another part that tries to bully everyone into practicing their religious, personal, and moral beliefs. Our Constitution states that Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion—that means either for or against. Congress and the legal process is to be silent regarding religion! Only then are we guaranteed freedom from government sanctioned religious or anti-religious oppression.

Neither side will change the other so why are we fighting losing battles? We do it for the sport of the political parties and for no other reason. In these battles only the politicians get fat! In terms of good for the country, we need to go back to the basics. The founders understood that mankind, if left to their own devices, is selfish and would vote for themselves rather than the good of the country. I will not bore you with a lengthy list of quotes to that effect nor will I remind you of the promises politicians make just to win elections.

Let’s consider for a moment America, the land of the free, two hundred years ago verses 2014. Briefly, the freedom desired was from the oppressive reign of a King, freedom of religion, and freedom from the oppression of an almost caste system that prevented upward societal mobility. Learned men fought and died to form a more perfect union offering opportunity to all. But where blacks, women, and Indians etc., were concerned, the Constitution did not apply at that time. But, the American Constitution, presented by brilliant men, formed a Republic that gave citizens an opportunity to evolve and perfect over time. The framers of our Constitution warned of greed and included checks and balances to protect American rights and freedoms. They warned that freedom would be hard to keep because mankind is (in my words) selfish!

America was the first successful Revolution to remain free to date, and just as freedom was difficult to gain and keep, many Americans have continued to fight for equality, and we are making slow gains. What part of equality do we still not understand that we understood when we passed the 13th amendment?

To say that black men were entitled to the same status as white men but to totally ignore all women—the majority of the population—was ludicrous at best. Then to wait 50 more years to give women the vote and still not spell out they are citizens in that Constitution is criminal, and to deny women equality under that Constitution, even as it has been amended to include all others besides the majority, is unfathomable.

Our discrimination laws do not include sex! In other words, there are serious legal consequences for discriminating against anyone, unless she is a white woman. Ironically, if she is black, gay, Latino, Islamic, or some minority she may—and I say MAY have some recourse, if she is fortunate enough to catch the eye of the ACLU—If not, she, like the rest of the majority of our nation, is out of luck. Why? We women—52% of the population—have no Constitutional rights! Our government forced Iraq to set up equal rights for women in their Constitution but does not grant America’s own women the same. Our government forced Japan to do the same, in 1945, but has refused American women since we asked for ERA in the 1970’s.

If you think the ACLU is on your side—think again! If you think either political party is on your side, think again. If you think a woman’s group from either side is on your side, think again! Where are they when women need them to save lives? Where is either side when women need them? Who is standing up against violence against women in a meaningful way? Have the death rate from Intimate violence dropped in all these s years? It has not! Is that the banner they carry? Was it front and center on anyone’s platform lately? Which party is promoting ERA on their platform? Which party is promoting stronger laws to protect all women or educate them about all of their rights in matters of life and death? Who is educating mothers on our rights to our children in our courts? Who is helping us when we are destitute and facing divorce against a powerful abuser who wants to take our children and a corrupt court system that turns a blind eye?  I say we need more than just birth control pills and abortions—we need equality. We need for abusers to know they will be prosecuted. We need stronger laws and equal pay, not just the right to sue if we find out we were not paid fairly. Power still lies in the hands of male lobbies in our family courts. Our women and children are still the most vulnerable and the least protected in this the 21st Century.

The ones who stand up and fight for their rights are the only ones who are heard:

An example of what is in Congress right now:

Gang of Eight Framework for Immigration Reform

“The framework is designed to satisfy the demands of illegal aliens and their advocates, and business interests that want more cheap labor. It includes nothing that would benefit law-abiding American workers and taxpayers. American taxpayers will be saddled with staggering costs in the future as millions of poorly skilled illegal aliens become eligible for government services and programs.   PR Newswire (http://s.tt/1z3ym)

In the news right now:

“The pulse of equality is strong in America, and today it beats a bit faster with news that the Boy Scouts may finally put an end to its long history of discrimination,” said Chad Griffin of the Human Rights Campaign, a major gay-rights group.

While there is still a long way to go for many others, we women have stepped up over the centuries to work toward equality and civil rights for others. Isn’t it time that we step up and ask that we as a group, be counted, and ask that others support us?

We are the majority, and yet, we as “women” we are the only group that is not covered under the Constitution nor protected from hate crimes, or protected from discriminatory language. That means we just don’t count in America! Whose fault is that? It is our own fault. As the majority we have successfully fought for, and won, many battles for minority groups—now it is our turn to stand up and ask for our equal rights too! Women, we must stand up and demand that we will no longer tolerate inequality on any level.

We need 3 more states to ratify the ERA—get involved. It is about EQUALITY! We have been complacent long enough. ERA now!

Blackout: Is abortion ever murder to a LIBERAL?

Barbara Bassett

Kermit Gosnell is an abortionist on trail for murder and the liberal media can’t figure out how to write the word abortionist and murderer in the same sentence. They can’t figure out how to describe hundreds of infant body parts in jars, bodies in garbage bags,in freezers when they’ve spent so much time describing them as “blobs” and “masses of cells”. They can’t justify the horrific photos of infanticide by equating them to their feel good mantra of “its all about a women’s reproductive rights”. Because maybe you would question how exactly do all those bloody scenes that included the deaths, forced sterilzation and infections of women actually relate to a women’s reproductive rights.
They can’t post a photo of a born alive infant and write a obituary that says died from having his doctor make the “choice” to cut his spinal cord.
They can’t figure out how to explain why it was scissors  that murdered a 8 month “screaming” fully viable infant when lawmakers are demanding laws to protect “our children” from being murdered by guns. They can’t explain why 5 year olds murdered in school are “our most precious assets” yet a 8 month born alive murdered on a mad mans butchering table isn’t worth a damn.
They can’t figure out how to explain Gosnells comments “that this baby could walk to the bus stop” during a “snipping” procedure that is defined as “a women’s right” and not a survivors right to medical care because if you asked why no medical care for an infant born alive during an abortion
they would then have to explain Obama voted against the born alive infant protection act calling it “a burden on a mother” and they can’t do that because then you would know he did indeed do that and his mantra of saving “just one child” would be called hypocritical. They can’t explain why these minority low income murders haven’t warranted “if I had a son he would look like.. the hundreds of photos in evidence.
They can’t explain why nail salons are regulated but abortion clinics aren’t because then they’d have to explain to you that regulating  abortion clinics is refered to as “a war on womens reproductive rights” the Left uses regulation as a weapon and the Right fears their weapon.
Women’s rights groups are blacking out the  Gosnell story also because they can’t explain how  they will fight for womens right to birth control and to abortion but not for a womens right to be educated on both nor a womens right to have an abortion in a regulated facility just like a hospital as a women who chooses to deliver her baby does.
Since its all about womens rights why aren’t they speaking about her right to be protected from the monsters who prey on her vulnerability. These Women they profess to fight for are being abused.
What happened to the mantra of “legal, safe and rare”?
Some of those who have come forward were 15 years old. One describes 8 abortions and being told that was “normal” she is now in her twenties and can’t conceive. These young girls are our children and why are strangers in a “reputable” clinic advising our children on abortion without our knowledge. Ask Planned ParentHood and liberals who lobbied against parental notification. Where’s the outrage that a 15 year old girl was drugged and tied to a bed because she Changed her mind? She’s also sterile and dreams about the baby she saw born and murdered.
You’ve come along way Baby.
As I write the left women blame the right and grasp at the fear factor..shocking is there is not one mention of the horrors, plenty of “this is what happens when women are forced into back alleys by the right. Not shocking is that they would ignore the facts..this was an 20 year established legal 1.3 million dollar womens “health” clinic, Gosnells fees were as high as 1,600 hardly a “back alley’ abortion clinic and most of his patients were black low income women, white women had a seperate room as “they were most likely to report” says Gosnell.
So were are the minority leaders on the left? Trayvon Martins death warranted Sharpton, Jackson and every liberal I know to march in protest. The media coverage was non stop yet hundreds of mutilated black babies in the garbage..crickets.
And the right runs away in fear of the explosive racial keg that is.. abortion.
The silence is deafening but if they explain you get to ask questions. You get to ask WTH is a partial birth abortions? And then you would be horrified to know and even more horrified to know your taxpayer dollars fund the likes of Gosnells house of horrors.
.. and maybe the truth is many of you don’t want it explained but I believe the blackout is directed at the majority of you who are unaware of what “late term and partial birth abortions” mean The Gosnell story opens the floodgates in very graphic details, horrifying images and they all know that a story about a puppy found in a garbage bag generates outrage and they know if you knew hundreds of viable babies were found in garbage bags that would generate outrage and that outrage would force a conversation about abortions and conversations about abortions would open the flood gates
to what we are capable of and what we are capable of is  horrifying and horrifying would bring about changes to a BIllION dollar industry and effect the politicans who depend upon the millions of abortion issue voters, a political party that depends upon “the  war on women”, the hundreds of women’s groups that rely on “reproductive rights” to divide women, minority leaders who divide and profit
Because in the end its not about the women or infanticide its about politics and money and votes and GREED.
Its best you’re  kept in the dark.
But some of us are shedding light on Gosnell and we are tweeting, facebooking,  blogging so this horror opens a dialogue to who decides that a football players imaginary girlfriend is news and Gosnells House of Horrors is not and more importantly it must Open a dialogue to what is morally unacceptable.
Everyone of us no matter where you stand on the issue should be outraged for so many reasons.
Barbara

Ladies Choice: Girly Box or Bully Pulpit?

Get out of your “Girly Box” where you are being bullied and take you rightful place at the bully pulpit.  We are the majority and are being held back from breaking thru that glass ceiling! In order to do it we have to prove our meddle – its time to get out of the girly box- put on our women’s clothes we need to get out and vote on real women’s issues. I want to tell you what they are NOT. Its been a long time since someone has sat down and had a serious talk with us about what our issues are. the left has brainwashed into believing our issues are between our legs but I think they are between our ears, we just have to think about it  and the time is now because there is an election about to happen and we need to let the left know they counted us wrong! The far right has a few things to learn about us too but its the far left that is counting us wrong big time and needs to hear from us on Nov. 6 this year!

Please stay with me when I go thru serious sex crimes, rape and abortion for a few moments, as these indeed are everyone’s issue just as everything that goes on in our country is women’s business and not just man’s business or man’s work. We need equality let’s act like it. It is often said you get what you deserve-  do we deserve respect? Let me describe how the left has asked for respect and I will let you decide what we deserve for their effort! Stay with me for a few minutes – give me a soap box then tell me off when I am done- if you think I am wrong!

No they don’t and they don’t sit in the oval office either!

I am going to beg you to stop the carrying the liberal woman’s banner of abortion and Birth control pills as the women’s issues. We have many- and we need to have our issues addressed- we also have all the very same issues, as do the men. We work- we pay taxes, we have children in schools – they need fed- we need jobs, We buy gas- what exactly is it that we don’t care about- what is off the table that is NOT a woman’s issue? NOTHING- so let’s not let the left put us in a girly box! Empower yourselves by getting serious. If you want to kill someone to be strong join the armed services! Fight someone your own size- fight the bastard that raped you! Fight the judges and the assholes that allow these men to batter you. Do something positive! Stop victimizing the unborn in retribution.

I am accused of coming across as very angry on this subject- well I am. Every 6 seconds a woman is beaten. Every 9 seconds one is raped, 4 a day are murdered and I don’t see women marching on DC screaming about that! I see corruption in our family, domestic and in divorce courts. These are the things we should be screaming about.

One man bludgeoned my dying cancer ridden daughter’s head open with a hammer- they left him out without bail – he returned and blew her baby sister’s brains out with a shot gun. We need court reform and better laws against violence against women and children, these are things that matter to every woman and mother and father and sister and brother. Fight for this, fight for and bread and butter, gas and oil prices, and education reform, jobs and Equal rights for women to be added to the Constitution of the United States so that we have true parity in our workplace and in equal representation in all levels of our government.

We need equal rights under the law not women dressed up as pick dancing vagina’s on the DC Capital lawn screaming about abortion and birth control or

Dancing vaginas- And we want to be taken seriously?

wearing T-shits   signed Vagina’s vote! Ladies, for the love of the vote of foremothers fought to get us- grow up and act like educated intelligent beings shut the hell up about your friggen abortions after rape. For over a half century – you have had abortion rights for that same 50 plus years the GOP has had a platform against it and we have had Republican administrations and Conservative Justices and yet- not once- have you lost your abortion rights! BUT in all this time we have yet to gain our equal rights which every woman needs while you fight for something most of us will never use.

Abortion is the ending of a life. If a woman’s life is in danger- common sense dictates a life will have to be taken. Rape and Incest is the same thing, a hate crime has been perpetrated against a victim. That offender should be prosecuted to the full extent of the law and laws should be revisited to ensure sex crimes are adjudicated as serious hate crimes.

Rape is the only crime that we have come to believe it is ok to seek retribution for. And if retribution were acceptable why do we feel taking it out on the unborn child is an acceptable remedy? I was asked, why should a women carry a child and be reminded for 9 months of the crime committed against her? A victim of every crime will be reminded for the rest of his or her life BUT never does that give her the right to victimize another in reparation for the crime done against her! While I understand this appears to be the only empowerment a women has in this world – it is a false power of one even less powerful than she and against the very nature of a woman. She has in fact been brainwashed into believing this is a right to her body while she lost that right to an intruder and cannot gain it back by taking the life of another.

Case closed. I have been raped and I have otherwise been victimized myself and it has continued to haunt me over a half decade. Fortunately, it did not result in pregnancy but if it had my choices would have been to keep or to give away the child; abortion cannot undo the act of rape. Instead, I have fought against many kinds of crimes against women over the past or 60 years inc. rape, incest, intimate abuse, family court abuse, poverty, and lack of education to name a few.  Since the late 60’s I have been fighting for equal rights and women’s liberation from sexualization in the media and for polarity and equality in representation in all levels of government. I have seen tragedy in my own family from being a victim to seeing my daughters victimized to have a son who is an abuser as was his father. Let me make the above point in a very crude but clear way– my daughter Louisa had her brains blown out — can I now go kill an unborn child to get even?

falopian tubes and ovaries- on the great lawn- at an ERA rally!

Stop the goddamned rape, the beatings, the humiliation and the child abuse! You want to be taken seriously yet when you get the chance all you want to talk about is abortion and BC pills? I have been going to rallies and demonstrations all my life, I remember the NOW march down 5th Avenue inn NYC before NOW went radical- we wanted Equal rights for every woman- now when I went to DC and I was embarrassed to be associated with the dancing vaginas, fallopian tubes and ovaries that showed up on the White house lawn!

Rock the slut names all liberal women as sluts- so do the men- wake up! Be proud to be a woman in America vote for yourself and for dignity!

Seriously? Gimme a break- do you see the men running this country screaming about Viagra- dressing as pricks and dancing at the state house calling themselves dicks and balls. Get serious and you might be less than 16% represented. You are not seriously taken because you are not talking about serious things. WAKE THE HELL UP. You can continue to scream at me and accuse me of forcing you back into an alley – but I don’t see you getting any further toward the oval office at the rate you are going or from the road you are traveling. In fact we have seen and heard our former first lady and a would be female vice president called bitches, cunts and other candidates of late were called witches and whores BUT I have never heard a male called a Prick just for running for office.

Think about what I said. Call me names – tell me off but for God sake think about what I said! Father’s rights groups are winning because they do not appear to be hysterical – we do and it’s our fault that we appear hysterical. The left is responsible for this appearance when they name themselves “rock the slut vote!” think about it. Talk about common sense things and sound reasonable- talk turkey like the big boys or look  and act like silly little girls and stay bullied by the big bad wolves!

Author’s note* Thank science for RU486 which prevents pregnancy and the need for abortion of a fetus after rape and tell the church to stay out of a woman’s business she can decide is she want to take birth control or not and tell government to stay out of church business.

Excerpts:

Across 166 pages of internal State Department documents — released Friday on the Benghazi terrorist attack — slain U.S. Ambassador to Libya Chris Stevens and the security officers assigned to protect him repeatedly sounded alarms to their superiors in Washington about the intensifying lawlessness and violence in Eastern Libya, where Stevens ultimately died.

On Sept. 11 — the day Stevens and three other Americans were killed — the ambassador signed a three-page cable, labeled “sensitive,” in which he noted “growing problems with security” in Benghazi and “growing frustration” on the part of local residents with Libyan police and security forces. These forces the ambassador characterized as “too weak to keep the country secure.”

Roughly a month earlier, Stevens had signed a two-page cable, also labeled “sensitive,” that he entitled “The Guns of August: Security in Eastern Libya.”

Writing on Aug. 8, the ambassador noted that in just a few months’ time, “Benghazi has moved from trepidation to euphoria and back as a series of violent incidents has dominated the political landscape.” He added, “The individual incidents have been organized,” a function of “the security vacuum that a diverse group of independent actors are exploiting for their own purposes.”

“Islamist extremists are able to attack the Red Cross with relative impunity,” Stevens cabled. “What we have seen are not random crimes of opportunity, but rather targeted and discriminate attacks.” His final comment on the two-page document was: “Attackers are unlikely to be deterred until authorities are at least as capable.”

By Sept. 4, Stevens’ aides were reporting back to Washington on the “strong Revolutionary and Islamist sentiment” in the city.

In the days leading up to Sept. 11, warnings came even from people outside the State Department. A Libyan women’s rights activist, Wafa Bugaighis, confided to the Americans in Benghazi in mid-August: “For the first time since the revolution, I am scared.”

The documents were released by two lawmakers who have been active in probing the Benghazi case, Rep. Darrell Issa, R-Calif., the chairman of the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee, and Rep. Jason Chaffetz, R-Utah. In a letter to President Obama, dated Oct. 19 and accompanied by the documents, the lawmakers faulted the administration both for providing inadequate security before Sept. 11, and for allegedly obfuscating the nature of the events on Sept. 11.

“Multiple warnings about security threats were contained in Ambassador Stevens’ own words in multiple cables sent to Washington, D.C., and were manifested by two prior bombings of the Benghazi compound and an assassination attempt on the British ambassador,” the congressmen wrote. “For this administration to assume that terrorists were not involved in the 9/11 anniversary attack would have required a willing suspension of disbelief.”

Obama and Axelrod Tweet During the Transfer of Remains Ceremony

By Greg Pollowitz
September 14, 2012 3:46 P.M.

This is just unbelievable, especially in light of the Defcon 1 attack the MSM put on Romney for responding to a tweet from the US Embassy in Cairo without waiting some unspecified period of time. Will those same MSM bobble-head dolls criticize the president and his most trusted adviser for tweeting during a funeral?

Here’s the first one from the president’s account, not from him personally:

Look at the time-stamp. This is literally in the middle of the ceremony. Buy a sweatshirt! The Arab Spring is now the Arab Winter! Brrrrr!!!

But not to be undone, David Axelrod also couldn’t wait to speak up:

At least Axelrod waited for the ceremony to end — by about 4 minutes, according to when Mark Knoller’s tweeted the doors to the hearses closing:

Hat-tip to @cuffymeh for catching this.

Year of the Woman, not Title IX, and more than tits and ass!

BettyJean Downing Kling

Women triumphed at the Olympics this year by working hard and the ladies teams won by working together! Imagine how much more can be won so much more than a few crotchety items! A few less battered bodies, dead women, raped children, safer streets and schools perhaps? Look at the bigger picture- Imagine the Majority United?

Every country represented at the Olympics also brought women, please try to remember that all women count regardless of their ideology.  Interestingly – there is no Title IX in China or in Russia or in Romania but they send plenty of women and they have been winning since the very beginning because they train them well regardless of women’s lib. For Left leaning—err Democrat, moles disguised as national women’s groups to hail to the chief pushing Liberal politics as the reason for our women  winning this year flies in the face of all the countries who have sent women and who support them financially as well. Our Government doesn’t financially support our female athletes, so title 9 is less valuable compared to the full support even Commy nations give their women – so let’s get off of the right left crap about it! I am grateful T9 let gave females opportunities but stop exploiting everything for the Party’s sake and start working instead for all women. Geeze don’t we ever get tired of being party first — instead of all women come before either party?

Forget the politics and unite women behind an idea, that idea being that all women in the US are valuable regardless of left or right divisive issues that separate them. Bring FEMALES together rather than let the ‘all boys clubs’ – both of them pull us apart.

Stop with the right left division and let’s get the majority united. Try this for a change — appeal to women without alluding to party- right or left or their friggen vaginas or reproduction. Try appealing to the fact that 4 a day are beaten to death – or otherwise murdered t the hand of an intimate partner and we need stricter and enforceable laws. Let’s appeal to women who need our support in divorce and family courts- those who have their children stripped from their loving arms and placed in the care of their abusers or worse pedophiles. Let’s appeal to the indecency women face in our court systems and the plight of the poor in education and leave the birth control to another day. How about we appeal to life and our children and stopping the death of children and their mother’s lives for a change, more women and children face those needs on a daily basis. Can we speak up for safer streets, and food, and schools and jobs for just a few weeks here? Appeal to the fact that we need to make this a safer place for our daughters, a more equal playing field. Can you concentrate on that for just a few months- just long enough to get this bill passed or must you turn off half the women in this country to satisfy the other half?  Are thou really going to cut the baby in half over and over and over again?  What about the battered women- what about the mothers- what about the lost children? Does anyone else count anymore? Look at the bigger picture- Imagine the Majority United?

For those of you who get it and are willing to use a softer approach try this letter and send it to both R’s and D’s.

Good Luck and Thanks you so much for your common sense!

“I am calling today to ask that (Senator/Representative) ________________ give his/her support to resolutions moving through the House and Senate that call for the passage of the Equal Rights Amendment, Many organizations have been working on this since it was first introduced in the 1920’s by suffragist Alice Paul. I feel that the Equal Rights Amendment is important issue in this coming election and is bi-partisan.

There is no excuse for it not to be enacted in my lifetime. I want to see Equal Rights for Women specifically spelled out in The Constitution. Women comprise 52% of the electorate and in return for our votes this November we are asking for your immediate support on: H.J.Res.47: and S.J.Res.39:

No longer pacified by promises, we require a true demonstration of value for value. In return for votes from our large voting bloc we demand equal rights under The Constitution.

I hope I can count on (Senator/Representative) ___________’s support on this issue.

Thank you.”

JOINT RESOLUTION

Removing the deadline for the ratification of the equal rights amendment.

Resolved by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, That notwithstanding any time limit contained in House Joint Resolution 208 of the Ninety-second Congress, second session, the article of amendment proposed to the States in that joint resolution shall be valid to all intents and purposes as part of the Constitution whenever ratified by three additional States.

Debbie Wasserman-Schultz: Are you ready to party- or are you ready to rumble- this is after-all a war on women?

BettyJean Downing- Kling

Ladies are you ready to fight this war against us? Some of our opponents are other women! Perhaps instead of fighting with them we should talk.

Debbie Wasserman-Schultz is fighting for a job and her political life- but it is up to American’s women us to fight for our own lives- shall we fight for Debbie’s Job and future or our own?

Before you make up your mind- I urge you to read two books by amazing women who were there when the REAL “War against women” began! I was there and so were millions of women who were forced to sit down and shut up. But our time has come. Gigi Gaston along with Bettina Sofia Viviano, who started her own film production company in 1990 after serving as vice president of production for Steven Spielberg’s Amblin Entertainment made a documentary called “ We will not be silenced” http://wewillnotbesilenced2008.com/index.htm

Michelle Thomas who said she received death threats as she gathered the 300 signed and notarized petitions required by Democratic National Convention rules to prompt a count of votes for Hillary Clinton on the first ballot, has just released an astonishing statement that I personally witnessed : “Obama thugs history revealed in Michele Thomas Bettina Viviano interview, Obama stole 1996 Alice Palmer election and 2008 DNC primaries caucuses another documentary. http://citizenwells.wordpress.com/2012/04/09/obama-thugs-history-revealed-in-michele-thomas-bettina-viviano-interview-obama-stole-1996-alice-palmer-election-and-2008-dnc-primaries-caucuses/

Thousands of us are blogging and interviewing each other. Weeks ago I asked, What Republican war on Women? https://freemenow.wordpress.com/2012/03/15/what-republican-war-on-women/

On Monday I interviewed Anita Finlay on her new book Dirty Words On Clean Skin: Sexism and Sabotage, a Hillary Supporter’s Rude Awakening, here it here:
http://www.blogtalkradio.com/freemenow/2012/04/10/the-majority-united

Women are beginning to author books on the War on Women admitting it exists but bringing the evidence to prove it is not a Republican war waged this election cycle, but the pattern of behavior launched against women every election year by both the Democrats and the Republicans in an effort to use women  for their votes.

The following two books,  Admit The Horse – PG Abeles and  Dirty Words On Clean Skin: Sexism and Sabotage, a Hillary Supporter’s Rude Awakening – Anita Finlay speak specifically to the all out assault waged by the Democrats during the primary elections back in 2008 when a woman had the audacity to actually try to run for the highest office in the land. I have written blogs about this woman hating phenomenon and now women are writing books, finally unafraid to speak out.
I reviewed both books thus:

This review is from: Admit The Horse (Paperback)

In 2008, Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama waged an epic battle for the presidential nomination, but was it really a fair fight? The media told the mythical version of a dark horse coming from behind to win the race but Paulie Abeles opens our minds to an alternate narrative.
Perhaps those who wander down the yellow brick road may one day have the courage to pull the curtain back questioning who or what power was really behind the so-called magic of 2008 but those of us who worked the front lines know all to well it was plain old smoke and mirrors concealing the fraud and intimidation of the twenty-first century’s “War on Women”.
“Admit the Horse”, to those of us who lived it, is not a work of fiction at all- it is a factual account of the `war on women’ launched during the 2008 primary by the DNC, the left wing media and the pundits who rely on the political machines that run the land of the free and the home of the brave.

Up to now we’ve essentially heard from male authors writing from a male perspective while women have remained intimidated by comments like bitter old hags, *washed up *racist *hostile *hysterical *extreme *angry *crazed *sexist

This year, name calling be damned,  women will not be silenced and in this book Dirty Words on Clean Skin, Anita Finlay,  with courage and conviction has set out to  recount the experiences that launched the REAL ”War on Women”. Those who launched this misogynistic war in 2008 have tried to conceal it for 4 years and now attempt to foist the blame for it on the rival party in time for the 2012 election. But the anger of women who were dealt the first blows are still feeling the sting,  and that fury  has finally reached fever pitch and we will not be silenced or confused by what we encountered first hand on the front lines.

Millions of us were ridiculed, degraded and humiliated, hundreds of thousands were tormented and threatened by what we saw and heard. To those of us who witnessed the unspeakable deceitfulness, corruption and intimidation that ultimately led to the abrogation of our American Democracy, and for those of us who suffered or were humiliated by blatant sexism and misogyny or were by victims of the race baiting of the 2008 presidential primary season our time has come!

Finally, after four years of unbearable silence and cover-up I am heartened that women authors are audaciously coming forward to expose the truth as we actually endured it. Upwards of 3 million women never gave in, never gave up and never gave out. This book is written by one who speaks for millions who, because we were not believed when we spoke up — were silenced — in the land of the free and the home of the brave.

In an election year, we can be sure of two things:  First, the incumbent and his opponent are going to pander to groups where their poll numbers need shoring up.  Second, we can count on the mainstream media to function as the de facto PR firm for their favored son, further ginning up whatever problem said politician avers we need to solve, coincidentally ensuring his re-election.  In this case, that favored son is President Obama.

The current pandering is aimed squarely at the hearts and minds of women.  First, we had the contraceptive debate designed to whip us into a frenzy and now, suddenly, and as if it had not occurred to anyone else before him, the President deigns to tell us women we are not cookie cutter people and need to be dealt with as individuals.  Will this political pander work?  Of course it will.  If I’d learned anything in 2008, it is that women have an endless capacity to settle for crumbs rather than standing up to claim the cake.  That is the only way we could have witnessed the more qualified female candidate dragged through the mud, only to watch Ms. Magazine offer up a cover photo of Mr. Obama and declare, “This Is What a Feminist Looks Like.”

The real war on women is something entirely different than we are led to believe.  It cannot be contained in sound bites and certainly will not be explained in worthy fashion by someone who advantaged himself at every turn by the sexist rhetoric that was used to take down his worthy primary opponent.  In the name of changing the narrative and reclaiming the debate, my book Dirty Words On Clean Skin asks us all to examine the daily media and political brainwashing that deliberately shames, marginalizes and abuses women.  I am so pleased to launch my website to further this cause…please help it to go viral!

Also on the website is a video that shares more information about the book — and why it advantages all of us to get involved:

What “Republican War on Women?”

BettyJean Downing Kling
*Updated 3/19/12 see Quote from Cynthia Ruccia

10:47pm Mar 14

I have to laugh every time I hear the phrase “Republican War on Women” perhaps ‘I gag’ is a better characterization of my response.
There is no Republican war on women – there is a Political war on women. Both parties are using women as pawns and it is because we are rated by both parties as second class citizens of little value except as a partisan voting block. We have been fighting for Equal rights since shortly after we fought and won the right to vote.  Most recently, about 65 years ago, women started a new push for Equal Rights and to be recognized a first class citizens with a voice of our own BUT the movement’s leaders SOLD OUT to the political parties and splintered into special interest groups instead. Women have been divided into liberal and conservative camps ever since serving the political parties and the patriarchy perfectly. Instead of amounting to a majority force of 52% they are instead about evenly divided into a weak 25% of which very few bother to mount much of a fight for ERA but instead join forces against other women with the political party they have aligned with if they get involved at all. Instead of a majority force of 52% women they have become absorbed into the male minority which only brings so-called women’s issues in order to further keep the majority from uniting.

When will we learn that if we want Justice for the women and girls in this lifetime we need the ERA? If we want the ERA, we are going to have to fight for it ourselves outside of the two party system and it will take an army of women applying pressure and threats of withholding votes and support which is all politicians understand. A million of us on the DC steps threatening to vote them out should speak to them.

No self respecting woman should wish or work for the success of a party that ignores her sex.”
— Susan B Anthony, 1872 Read more: http://www.city-data.com/forum/elections/475371-what-has-democratic-party-done-women.html#ixzz1pCdrdPKO

If we want such a voice we will need women – lots of women – and we will need women from both sides of the aisle and from the center to get our message understood. Our message is United we Stand, their message is, divided they fall.

To get more women involved – we must stop the infighting and we can do it best by stopping the divisiveness that separates the majority into two or more camps of women making them enemies instead of allies?

I am sick to death of hearing  “the Republicans hold women back!” It’s not just the Republicans, we have been trying to get this done during the reign of both parties for example, most recently during the last 2 years of Bush and clearly the first 2 years of Obama’s administration when the Democrats had full control and the majority in both houses – I didn’t see the Dems shake any trees for women for the ERA. It wasn’t even on the table for the Dems or for any women’s group as a top priority either. So how about we stop the party politics and divisive single issue mantra and start to fight FOR what we really need and want by bringing all women together.

I think it is disingenuous to teach Democratic women to constantly bash Republicans – and by extension the republican women in this fight when the fight during our lifetime has not been the total fault of any one party and certainly not of Republican women who feel insulted by this constant bashing. What do you suppose they think of Dem women who say things like this when they know that liberal politics has drastically changed women’s lives and yet not garnered ALL women EQUALITY or EQUAL PAY in solidarity but rather changed the fight to some women’s issues that did not square with the majority at all but instead fights for minority issues disregarding the ERA big picture.

Remember- When the Democratic Party refused to support women’s suffrage, the National Woman’s Party sought to punish the party by campaigning on behalf of the Republican Party.

Women’s Rights Convention In 1848, the Women’s Right Convention took place in Seneca Falls, New York; thus began the women’s suffrage movement in the United States. A national meeting was held in 1850 in Worcester, Massachusetts; then, in 1870, suffragettes Lucy Stone and Mary Livermore were seated as delegates at the Massachusetts Republican State Convention.

In 1872 at the Republican National Convention, a resolution was passed supporting admission of women “to wider fields of usefulness.” In addition to this resolution was the declaration that “the honest demand of this class of citizens for additional rights . . . should be treated with respectful consideration.” Read more at Suite101: Women and the Republican Party: Suffrage Rights First Fought for by Republicans | Suite101.com http://lindasuegrimes.suite101.com/women-and-the-republican-party-a67082#ixzz1pCc4dr6V

It is also disingenuous to teach Republican women to bash Democrats and their women when much of the progress we have made has been accomplished by the hard work and dedication of proud democrats who are fighting for women’s rights. Where would we be without the hard work of all the women who came before us and fought for better working conditions, better jobs and management positions, better pay, men’s support for more egalitarian family practices, family leave, better educational opportunities including Titles 7 & 9, sexual harassment laws, and so much more.

How can we forget or deny the focus changed and no longer applied to the majority of women and as we lost the focus – women split into conservative and liberal groups and right into the hands of the patriarchy and instead of bringing us back together to get ERA for the Majority – the 52% of all women which inclusive of the all minority women and including both parties and in the interest of justice – we come together on this issue that benefits all women and unites us in a common goal rather than divides us by what we do not share. Shall we instead continue to drag ourselves down listening to those who insist on bringing divisive issues prompted by politicians and their politics into it? These are political hacks and shills not ERA proponents with women’s best interests in mind – if it were not so – they would be binding all women together under the banner for which they fight.

As a woman I must ask each of you — are we all valuable except for women of the opposite party- or sexual preference, or religion, or color?

And if it really were over politics alone explain what happened during the women’s movement there was a * 40 year dry spell for Republicans what did the Democrats do for women?

When the 104th Congress began in January of 1995, it was the first time since the 83rd Congress of 1953—1955 that the Republicans had control of both the House and Senate. They had never controlled the House during the forty-year period of Democratic rule, and only briefly controlled the Senate, during the 97th through 99th Congresses of 1981—1987. http://www.lewrockwell.com/vance/vance96.html

During that drought it was Republican women who marched together with Democrats until politicians helped divide us. To hell with Shaffeley on the Right and her counterpart haters on the Left- let us march together down the center and get it done! Gimme a break – just bring women together to fight FOR something instead of always playing politics. Neither party (of the men, by the men, for the men or church ) and  gives a Rat’s Pitudy about women – it’s up to us to do for ourselves – that is what we should be concentrating on instead of fighting the game set us up to fight – it’s a men’s politics game! There is no republican war on women – there is a misogynist war on women.  Let’s play our own game by our own rules and win Equal Rights for women!

*”A once and often worthy civil rights movement has become a mere parody of its former self.” and: “Time was when real feminists fought for the right of little girls to be educated as well as little boys. Time was when they fought protracted and heartbreaking battles for women[s right to vote. Time was when they fought for the right to own their own property, to be in charge of their own monies, to be eqjuals before the law.
Time was when there were heroines such as Abigail Adams, Lucretia Mott, Sojourner Truth, Susan B. Anthony, and Elizabeth Cady Stanton. Whatever their personal vagaries, oddities, and conflicts may have been, they all fought for core values, values which included women having equal rights in education, in politics, in their homes, and before the law. They fought and suffered on behalf of future generations of women, and the victories they did achieve were made possible by changing laws and/or amending the Constitution–amendments which gave the vote to blacks and women. We don’t see enough of such women anymore.” ~Cynthia Ruccia

Enough already using women as pawns- we are not this stupid. There is a war on women alright but it is not just from the Republicans. It’s ALSO from the Dems blaming the Republicans! We do not need to be told there is a war on women – we know it and we also know we are being used. Both parties want our votes. If you’re not going to be a puppet being used by the left or the right, then why not stand up and ask if either party gave a damned why aren’t they putting more women on their slates? Are they picking lady VP’s this year? Are they filling their cabinets half full of women? War on women INDEED! The original suffragists had the right idea a National Woman’s Party could be bigger and stronger than either of these two lame ducks who would be nothing without us!

Why do we need another women’s group?

BettyJean Downing

The logo says it all,WOMEN women organized mobilized empowered nationwide. The letters create the very word Women, there is a women symbol within the word and an eternal flame within the heart of the women symbol. It is the color of both sea and the sky symbolizing our depth and height with a touch of red symbolizing our burning desires and yellow for our light heartedness. Oh yes our logo says it all. We are women, we are those who hold up half the sky with devotion deep as the deepest sea, with love burning as deepest as any fire yet whose touch is as gentle and light as a feather. Women who misunderstood and yet to be reckoned with but we are coming and we will be reckoned with!

A new member just sent The Majority United the following question:

Can I ask what the purpose of this group is?

You certainly may ask, and I am so glad you did:

At The majority United WOMEN coalition -we have several blogs- a newsletter, a radio show and these FaceBook and LinkedIn groups to find and gather women who need to learn about each other and to join forces for help themselves and each other.

We are all uniting for the purpose of forming the majority united! As a group of 52% we are stronger than diverse little groups each struggling to be heard.

As it stands right now there are two major groups of women, liberals and conservatives and they are speaking for all women which for all intents and purposes leaves us all pigeon holed into those 2 categories. Do you hear either one of them fighting for your particular issue?

I don’t? They are fighting either for a marginal issue- or one that has already been settled and not likely to be overturned anytime soon or one that affects 3% of the population or one that diminishes the real problems that face us daily – like losing our lives or our children or being second class citizens, or giving us the very equality they were set up to settle and finally they never address taxation without representation which leaves us out in the cold as far as getting justice for any of our causes.

These two groups have us fighting each other over divisive issues that the politicians have set us up to fight over- they have labeled them women’s issues. As if we only care about our crotches and sex! Indeed- is that all we are worrying about?

Are we not worrying about what the men are worrying about?

You tell me what the men care about – excluding sex that we don’t? They care about Wall Street- so do we— jobs – so do we— gas prices- so do we!

We care about the life and safety of our daughters— so do they- we care about the economy –– so do they, we care about crime –– so do they, we care about drugs and trafficking – so do they.

What exactly is it that is a women’s issue that is not a man’s issue. What do we care about that a great father would not care about for his daughter? Education reform?

What issue does a man care about that a good mother would abandon for about her son. War and peace?

There are no women’s issues – there are American issues and there are issues of women and children’s health and well being. There are issues of Justice and equality for all- BUT that is not a women’s issue that is a human rights issue.

So to answer your question – the purpose of this group is to give women a place to go where they are not disembodied or relegated to a body part as if we are only a single issue group or a group tied to a politic but rather a group of real women on a mission to show the world what real women look like and care about.

We care about every women and everything that affects every woman, and her children girls and boys and how they will grow up to be American men and women who deal fairly with their wives and husbands.

We are in this together – not for the politicians or for one political party or another but instead for one another.

I am so glad you asked. We want you and your group here – we care about you and hope you care about your sister here. Let’s grow together and help become the largest women’s group out there! Let them hear what real women sound like – let them see what real women look like and let them know what real women need and want and what they damned well will fight to the death for and then let’s fight together for it!
