Women settle for crumbs at the liberals table as Dems continue war against women.

BettyJean Downing

VAWA watered down as part of the war against women, Democrats set the table and Republicans drink the kool-ade!
100 Years Ago, women took to the streets and demanded the right to vote. What will you fight for this year? We the women of the free world are the majority, and yet not only are we not covered under the Constitution of the United States, but we ostensibly need a Violence Against Women Act to protect us. Yet with the new act, we are forced to share what little funds we have with Gay men and non-citizens, as well as with any other peoples our government can find to share the already paltry sum amongst!

Still hanging after all these years? Free us now! ERA to free women - we are the niggers of the world!

Still hanging after all these years? Free us now! ERA to free women – we are the niggers of the world!

How disgusting that we, the women of the greatest country on earth, need an act specifically created to address the violence directed against us in the first place. But now, to have to share it with others totally negates the reason we fought for specific protection in the first place.
Is there nothing our government holds sacred for the female majority of the population? Are there not hate crimes in effect for gays? Are there no other recourse acts to be drafted for others in need that we women, who die at the rate of 4 a day, need to share our pitiful sum, stretch our already overtaxed resources to the breaking point, when not even a dent has been made all these years in lowering the staggering numbers of women who suffer and even die from gender related violence?
What was wrong with the Violence Against Women Act before the Democrats decided to alter it and force the Republicans to sign on or risk being held responsible for denying women protection? Once again, women are being used as pawns. And once again, we settle for crumbs at the Liberal table!
Where oh where were the women while this travesty against women was going on? How many of our own daughters must be slain, battered, and raped before we realize that we have once again laid down for the man and his political machine rather than for our own benefit?
CRY for the women who are dying so that the Liberal can continue to allow havoc to be wreaked upon women and blame it on a war coming from someplace else, when it actually comes straight from the liberal table set by the Democrats and their molls!
Shame on the conservative men and women who refused to step up and fight for all women—who refuse to expose this travesty for what it is. Shame on all those who repeatedly sell out women in the name of government!
Give us an Equal Rights Amendment. Free Us Now!

IT: What if IT comes out? Flush IT or bring IT here for the toxic treatment!

Barbara Bassett

Via Hot Air, this will make you sick:

Live Action’s undercover journalist went to a Bronx abortion clinic to discuss the potential outcomes of a 23-week abortion — that’s nearly 6 months along — and got the kind of advice that one would expect from Kermit Gosnell himself:

What happens, the young woman asks, if the baby is moving and breathing when it comes out? No worries, says the abortion-clinic saleswoman — the toxic solution will make it “automatically stop.” If the baby spontaneously delivers, she advises the mother to “Flush it!” Or, failing that, stick the baby in a plastic bag and bring him or her to the clinic for the toxic solution. Don’t go to the hospital, she warns, because the hospital might actually try to save the baby.

Maybe I am overly sensitive about this topic. This June 27th will be twenty-three years since the day my youngest child was born prematurely. I still vividly remember watching that tiny little girl struggle to breathe for four days before giving up the ghost. I cannot imagine someone intentionally killing a live baby:

In an exchange laden with euphemisms on both sides to conceal the gruesome nature of the discussion, the pregnant woman wondered aloud what would happen if “it” (her fetus) emerged from her intact and alive.

The employee assigned to take note of medical history reassured the woman, “We never had that for ages” (a seeming admission that a baby did survive abortion at the clinic at least once) but that should “it” “survive this,” “They would still have to put it in like a jar, a container, with solution, and send it to the lab. . . . We don’t just throw it out in the garbage.”

Oh, and this innocuous-sounding “solution” was, of course, a toxic substance suitable for killing an infant.

“Like, what if it was twitching?” asked the pregnant woman.

“The solution will make it stop,” said the clinic employee. “That’s the whole purpose of the solution . . . It will automatically stop. It won’t be able to breathe anymore.”

Blackout: Is abortion ever murder to a LIBERAL?

Barbara Bassett

Kermit Gosnell is an abortionist on trail for murder and the liberal media can’t figure out how to write the word abortionist and murderer in the same sentence. They can’t figure out how to describe hundreds of infant body parts in jars, bodies in garbage bags,in freezers when they’ve spent so much time describing them as “blobs” and “masses of cells”. They can’t justify the horrific photos of infanticide by equating them to their feel good mantra of “its all about a women’s reproductive rights”. Because maybe you would question how exactly do all those bloody scenes that included the deaths, forced sterilzation and infections of women actually relate to a women’s reproductive rights.
They can’t post a photo of a born alive infant and write a obituary that says died from having his doctor make the “choice” to cut his spinal cord.
They can’t figure out how to explain why it was scissors  that murdered a 8 month “screaming” fully viable infant when lawmakers are demanding laws to protect “our children” from being murdered by guns. They can’t explain why 5 year olds murdered in school are “our most precious assets” yet a 8 month born alive murdered on a mad mans butchering table isn’t worth a damn.
They can’t figure out how to explain Gosnells comments “that this baby could walk to the bus stop” during a “snipping” procedure that is defined as “a women’s right” and not a survivors right to medical care because if you asked why no medical care for an infant born alive during an abortion
they would then have to explain Obama voted against the born alive infant protection act calling it “a burden on a mother” and they can’t do that because then you would know he did indeed do that and his mantra of saving “just one child” would be called hypocritical. They can’t explain why these minority low income murders haven’t warranted “if I had a son he would look like.. the hundreds of photos in evidence.
They can’t explain why nail salons are regulated but abortion clinics aren’t because then they’d have to explain to you that regulating  abortion clinics is refered to as “a war on womens reproductive rights” the Left uses regulation as a weapon and the Right fears their weapon.
Women’s rights groups are blacking out the  Gosnell story also because they can’t explain how  they will fight for womens right to birth control and to abortion but not for a womens right to be educated on both nor a womens right to have an abortion in a regulated facility just like a hospital as a women who chooses to deliver her baby does.
Since its all about womens rights why aren’t they speaking about her right to be protected from the monsters who prey on her vulnerability. These Women they profess to fight for are being abused.
What happened to the mantra of “legal, safe and rare”?
Some of those who have come forward were 15 years old. One describes 8 abortions and being told that was “normal” she is now in her twenties and can’t conceive. These young girls are our children and why are strangers in a “reputable” clinic advising our children on abortion without our knowledge. Ask Planned ParentHood and liberals who lobbied against parental notification. Where’s the outrage that a 15 year old girl was drugged and tied to a bed because she Changed her mind? She’s also sterile and dreams about the baby she saw born and murdered.
You’ve come along way Baby.
As I write the left women blame the right and grasp at the fear factor..shocking is there is not one mention of the horrors, plenty of “this is what happens when women are forced into back alleys by the right. Not shocking is that they would ignore the facts..this was an 20 year established legal 1.3 million dollar womens “health” clinic, Gosnells fees were as high as 1,600 hardly a “back alley’ abortion clinic and most of his patients were black low income women, white women had a seperate room as “they were most likely to report” says Gosnell.
So were are the minority leaders on the left? Trayvon Martins death warranted Sharpton, Jackson and every liberal I know to march in protest. The media coverage was non stop yet hundreds of mutilated black babies in the garbage..crickets.
And the right runs away in fear of the explosive racial keg that is.. abortion.
The silence is deafening but if they explain you get to ask questions. You get to ask WTH is a partial birth abortions? And then you would be horrified to know and even more horrified to know your taxpayer dollars fund the likes of Gosnells house of horrors.
.. and maybe the truth is many of you don’t want it explained but I believe the blackout is directed at the majority of you who are unaware of what “late term and partial birth abortions” mean The Gosnell story opens the floodgates in very graphic details, horrifying images and they all know that a story about a puppy found in a garbage bag generates outrage and they know if you knew hundreds of viable babies were found in garbage bags that would generate outrage and that outrage would force a conversation about abortions and conversations about abortions would open the flood gates
to what we are capable of and what we are capable of is  horrifying and horrifying would bring about changes to a BIllION dollar industry and effect the politicans who depend upon the millions of abortion issue voters, a political party that depends upon “the  war on women”, the hundreds of women’s groups that rely on “reproductive rights” to divide women, minority leaders who divide and profit
Because in the end its not about the women or infanticide its about politics and money and votes and GREED.
Its best you’re  kept in the dark.
But some of us are shedding light on Gosnell and we are tweeting, facebooking,  blogging so this horror opens a dialogue to who decides that a football players imaginary girlfriend is news and Gosnells House of Horrors is not and more importantly it must Open a dialogue to what is morally unacceptable.
Everyone of us no matter where you stand on the issue should be outraged for so many reasons.
Barbara

Tax donations needed: puppets or food banks, your money – your choice? Nov. 6

LET EM EAT CAKE!  Have these liberals no shame?

The 99% are on the East Coast this week yet the 1% in the entertainment Industry want our tax dollars for puppets? Ball players want their parades but throw us crumbs in return and insult us every chance they get with racial insults. If it were not for the viewing public there would be NO entertainment industry or spectator sports. Maybe it is time we send that message loud and clear. Let them eat cake!

If we are going to pay taxes – let it go to the devastated as a result of SANDY not to the 1% in the entertainment industry. PLEASE – I beg you pass that message around today and every day till the polls close!

Enough is enough- We have been told that wall street is the 1% but the entertainment industry and the Ball players and Hockey players make as much and hire so few- and where are they now?

Paid millions in salary, Sergio Romo wears ‘I just look illegal’ shirt at S.F. Giants parade paid for by tax dollars.

The entire billion dollar National Football League and players jointly, will donate a million to the Sandy effort while we spend more than that on parades for them when they win – where are they when we need them? http://www.footballnewsnow.com/2012/nfl-nflpa-to-donate-1-million-to-american-red-cross-to-aide-hurricane-sandy-victims/ Do you have any idea the tax dollars we spend on the roads to the stadium we spend each year here in NJ?

And now NPR and PBS who pay their executives nearly a million a year in salary are marching for tax dollar support on a day when the East coast is devastated? Gimme a break- let the entertainment industry pony up for their own – we have to take care of our own. No more tax dollars to the already rich and to the entertainment industry and sporting parades! Let those who have – pay their own way!

Obama must go! Stevens et al were left to die!

Excerpts:

Across 166 pages of internal State Department documents — released Friday on the Benghazi terrorist attack — slain U.S. Ambassador to Libya Chris Stevens and the security officers assigned to protect him repeatedly sounded alarms to their superiors in Washington about the intensifying lawlessness and violence in Eastern Libya, where Stevens ultimately died.

On Sept. 11 — the day Stevens and three other Americans were killed — the ambassador signed a three-page cable, labeled “sensitive,” in which he noted “growing problems with security” in Benghazi and “growing frustration” on the part of local residents with Libyan police and security forces. These forces the ambassador characterized as “too weak to keep the country secure.”

Roughly a month earlier, Stevens had signed a two-page cable, also labeled “sensitive,” that he entitled “The Guns of August: Security in Eastern Libya.”

Writing on Aug. 8, the ambassador noted that in just a few months’ time, “Benghazi has moved from trepidation to euphoria and back as a series of violent incidents has dominated the political landscape.” He added, “The individual incidents have been organized,” a function of “the security vacuum that a diverse group of independent actors are exploiting for their own purposes.”

“Islamist extremists are able to attack the Red Cross with relative impunity,” Stevens cabled. “What we have seen are not random crimes of opportunity, but rather targeted and discriminate attacks.” His final comment on the two-page document was: “Attackers are unlikely to be deterred until authorities are at least as capable.”

By Sept. 4, Stevens’ aides were reporting back to Washington on the “strong Revolutionary and Islamist sentiment” in the city.

In the days leading up to Sept. 11, warnings came even from people outside the State Department. A Libyan women’s rights activist, Wafa Bugaighis, confided to the Americans in Benghazi in mid-August: “For the first time since the revolution, I am scared.”

The documents were released by two lawmakers who have been active in probing the Benghazi case, Rep. Darrell Issa, R-Calif., the chairman of the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee, and Rep. Jason Chaffetz, R-Utah. In a letter to President Obama, dated Oct. 19 and accompanied by the documents, the lawmakers faulted the administration both for providing inadequate security before Sept. 11, and for allegedly obfuscating the nature of the events on Sept. 11.

“Multiple warnings about security threats were contained in Ambassador Stevens’ own words in multiple cables sent to Washington, D.C., and were manifested by two prior bombings of the Benghazi compound and an assassination attempt on the British ambassador,” the congressmen wrote. “For this administration to assume that terrorists were not involved in the 9/11 anniversary attack would have required a willing suspension of disbelief.”

Benghazi-Gate: Obama’s failure to protect those who serve and the resulting cover-up

BettyJean

On Libya, the left is not discussing the important part of the discussion- why? This terrorist attack had nothing to do with a video that has been out since June- it was all about 911 and this administration is selling the nation a spin that is intolerable.

The consulate was under manned. The Ambassador was unprotected or under protected. – CNN has found a journal that proves Ambassador Stevens was concerned for his safety.

It ends up that on 911- the Ambassador, two Navy Seal and an assistant – all four were raped- tortured and dragged through the streets for 7 hours then tossed into a burning building where they were found then retrieved by YES Libyans. Unfortunately, It was too too late Christopher Stevens died of smoke inhalation at or on the way to the hospital.

Change we can believe in?My dear citizens– not only did our commander and chief go to Las Vegas within hours, but followed the perfunctory remarks up with the line – “there is an election going on”!

The administration including my beloved Hillary spun the line that it was a “spontaneous protest” for days on end, in my opinion, because Obama did not and would not cease to campaign. For days, those who apparently blindly support him have conveniently decided to give him a pass and talk about the positive side of this horrendous attack on our property, the destroying of our flag and the murder of our citizens. On 9/11

Ironically, other protests occurring all over the Muslim world resulting in flag burning and large crowds burning effigy’s of Obama also appear to be connected to 911 but  did not result in death because  weapons were not present. This 13 minute trailor has conveniently been blamed for all the protests although Bengazi was obviously a planned terrorist attack as none of the others came with weapons and a murder plan for 2 unprotected buildings.  Moreover, not word has been uttered from the free speech advocates about the perp walk the brute movie maker was taken on to appease the radical Muslims and help seal the spin regarding the true purpose of this murderous attack.

Please Democrats – you have been hurling accusations at me since 9/12. I am trying hard to understand because my heart is broken over this and yours should be also. You who are always protesting against the murder of innocence and demanding justice. Where are you now?  You say you are saddened- I am sure you are but they were not your family- put yourself in their shoes. Do you have someone out there fighting for you and left unprotected while this guy is oblivious?

I lost 3 of my children- The one I have left had her brains blown out by a gunman four years ago, and her son has been helping me carry her from the wheelchair to the bed to change her diapers daily and feed her through a G-tube. He gave up college to do this while his friends graduated and became professional. Now he wants to join the Marines and of course I was behind him all the way- we are a very patriotic family – my dad a highly decorated WWll war hero.

I live in NJ within site of the towers and I know folks who died on 911/11. We suffer ever year on the anniversary- we look and wait for the next attack. Low planes scare us 365 days a year! We are vigilant!

Is there any doubt this is terrorism? Would any decent man be campaigning- or would he be viewing these films as I was instead? On 9/12/12- I was shocked to see we were attacked again. Within 24 hours I saw video’s of the Ambassador having been beaten and dragged through the streets, yet 3 days later – the administration was out still saying they had no idea what was happening. If I knew – they should have known. How inept can they be? Or are they just liars?

Once I saw POTUS on 9/12 and 9/13 campaigning away while these bodies was not yet cold- I told my grandson – He serves under this man over my dead body! A president that cannot stop campaigning over the brutal murders of 4 of our finest no matter what the reason does not deserve all I have left and for the first time in my adult life – ‘I AM NOT PROUD OF MY COUNTRY’.

This is not a partisan argument- this is not a racist issue- this is my patriotic duty!  I love Hillary yet thrice I have totally abhorred her actions, this is the third time and this one is unforgivable! I can no longer give her a pass. When our service people sign up – they trust that if they give their all and risk their lives – we will have their back. The administration did not have the back of these 4 and lied about it to boot!

Please do not obfuscate the issue with questions about Bush or any other administration- if one of these was your son or brother – what would that matter? It is this issue I am discussing right now and what needs to be done right now.  This administration needs fired and there is an election next month.  Voters need to know Obama nor his administration are fit to lead or accept responsibility for their mistakes and on top of it all – they are lying thru their teeth for political gain.

I will leave you to your conscience as to what to do – I suggest you deal with reality for one thing (like they knew the truth within 24 hours — as soon as I did or sooner– and yet they decided to spin it) and then consider the right thing to do. We are American first – these folks put their lives on the line for you and I – we owe them something. If you do not agree – I must question your allegiance.  No administration comes before my country and next comes those who risk their lives to keep us free.

Obama and Axelrod Tweet During the Transfer of Remains Ceremony

By Greg Pollowitz
September 14, 2012 3:46 P.M.

This is just unbelievable, especially in light of the Defcon 1 attack the MSM put on Romney for responding to a tweet from the US Embassy in Cairo without waiting some unspecified period of time. Will those same MSM bobble-head dolls criticize the president and his most trusted adviser for tweeting during a funeral?

Here’s the first one from the president’s account, not from him personally:

Look at the time-stamp. This is literally in the middle of the ceremony. Buy a sweatshirt! The Arab Spring is now the Arab Winter! Brrrrr!!!

But not to be undone, David Axelrod also couldn’t wait to speak up:

At least Axelrod waited for the ceremony to end — by about 4 minutes, according to when Mark Knoller’s tweeted the doors to the hearses closing:

Hat-tip to @cuffymeh for catching this.

Year of the Woman, not Title IX, and more than tits and ass!

BettyJean Downing Kling

Women triumphed at the Olympics this year by working hard and the ladies teams won by working together! Imagine how much more can be won so much more than a few crotchety items! A few less battered bodies, dead women, raped children, safer streets and schools perhaps? Look at the bigger picture- Imagine the Majority United?

Every country represented at the Olympics also brought women, please try to remember that all women count regardless of their ideology.  Interestingly – there is no Title IX in China or in Russia or in Romania but they send plenty of women and they have been winning since the very beginning because they train them well regardless of women’s lib. For Left leaning—err Democrat, moles disguised as national women’s groups to hail to the chief pushing Liberal politics as the reason for our women  winning this year flies in the face of all the countries who have sent women and who support them financially as well. Our Government doesn’t financially support our female athletes, so title 9 is less valuable compared to the full support even Commy nations give their women – so let’s get off of the right left crap about it! I am grateful T9 let gave females opportunities but stop exploiting everything for the Party’s sake and start working instead for all women. Geeze don’t we ever get tired of being party first — instead of all women come before either party?

Forget the politics and unite women behind an idea, that idea being that all women in the US are valuable regardless of left or right divisive issues that separate them. Bring FEMALES together rather than let the ‘all boys clubs’ – both of them pull us apart.

Stop with the right left division and let’s get the majority united. Try this for a change — appeal to women without alluding to party- right or left or their friggen vaginas or reproduction. Try appealing to the fact that 4 a day are beaten to death – or otherwise murdered t the hand of an intimate partner and we need stricter and enforceable laws. Let’s appeal to women who need our support in divorce and family courts- those who have their children stripped from their loving arms and placed in the care of their abusers or worse pedophiles. Let’s appeal to the indecency women face in our court systems and the plight of the poor in education and leave the birth control to another day. How about we appeal to life and our children and stopping the death of children and their mother’s lives for a change, more women and children face those needs on a daily basis. Can we speak up for safer streets, and food, and schools and jobs for just a few weeks here? Appeal to the fact that we need to make this a safer place for our daughters, a more equal playing field. Can you concentrate on that for just a few months- just long enough to get this bill passed or must you turn off half the women in this country to satisfy the other half?  Are thou really going to cut the baby in half over and over and over again?  What about the battered women- what about the mothers- what about the lost children? Does anyone else count anymore? Look at the bigger picture- Imagine the Majority United?

For those of you who get it and are willing to use a softer approach try this letter and send it to both R’s and D’s.

Good Luck and Thanks you so much for your common sense!

“I am calling today to ask that (Senator/Representative) ________________ give his/her support to resolutions moving through the House and Senate that call for the passage of the Equal Rights Amendment, Many organizations have been working on this since it was first introduced in the 1920’s by suffragist Alice Paul. I feel that the Equal Rights Amendment is important issue in this coming election and is bi-partisan.

There is no excuse for it not to be enacted in my lifetime. I want to see Equal Rights for Women specifically spelled out in The Constitution. Women comprise 52% of the electorate and in return for our votes this November we are asking for your immediate support on: H.J.Res.47: and S.J.Res.39:

No longer pacified by promises, we require a true demonstration of value for value. In return for votes from our large voting bloc we demand equal rights under The Constitution.

I hope I can count on (Senator/Representative) ___________’s support on this issue.

Thank you.”

What “Republican War on Women?”

BettyJean Downing Kling
*Updated 3/19/12 see Quote from Cynthia Ruccia

10:47pm Mar 14

I have to laugh every time I hear the phrase “Republican War on Women” perhaps ‘I gag’ is a better characterization of my response.
There is no Republican war on women – there is a Political war on women. Both parties are using women as pawns and it is because we are rated by both parties as second class citizens of little value except as a partisan voting block. We have been fighting for Equal rights since shortly after we fought and won the right to vote.  Most recently, about 65 years ago, women started a new push for Equal Rights and to be recognized a first class citizens with a voice of our own BUT the movement’s leaders SOLD OUT to the political parties and splintered into special interest groups instead. Women have been divided into liberal and conservative camps ever since serving the political parties and the patriarchy perfectly. Instead of amounting to a majority force of 52% they are instead about evenly divided into a weak 25% of which very few bother to mount much of a fight for ERA but instead join forces against other women with the political party they have aligned with if they get involved at all. Instead of a majority force of 52% women they have become absorbed into the male minority which only brings so-called women’s issues in order to further keep the majority from uniting.

When will we learn that if we want Justice for the women and girls in this lifetime we need the ERA? If we want the ERA, we are going to have to fight for it ourselves outside of the two party system and it will take an army of women applying pressure and threats of withholding votes and support which is all politicians understand. A million of us on the DC steps threatening to vote them out should speak to them.

No self respecting woman should wish or work for the success of a party that ignores her sex.”
— Susan B Anthony, 1872 Read more: http://www.city-data.com/forum/elections/475371-what-has-democratic-party-done-women.html#ixzz1pCdrdPKO

If we want such a voice we will need women – lots of women – and we will need women from both sides of the aisle and from the center to get our message understood. Our message is United we Stand, their message is, divided they fall.

To get more women involved – we must stop the infighting and we can do it best by stopping the divisiveness that separates the majority into two or more camps of women making them enemies instead of allies?

I am sick to death of hearing  “the Republicans hold women back!” It’s not just the Republicans, we have been trying to get this done during the reign of both parties for example, most recently during the last 2 years of Bush and clearly the first 2 years of Obama’s administration when the Democrats had full control and the majority in both houses – I didn’t see the Dems shake any trees for women for the ERA. It wasn’t even on the table for the Dems or for any women’s group as a top priority either. So how about we stop the party politics and divisive single issue mantra and start to fight FOR what we really need and want by bringing all women together.

I think it is disingenuous to teach Democratic women to constantly bash Republicans – and by extension the republican women in this fight when the fight during our lifetime has not been the total fault of any one party and certainly not of Republican women who feel insulted by this constant bashing. What do you suppose they think of Dem women who say things like this when they know that liberal politics has drastically changed women’s lives and yet not garnered ALL women EQUALITY or EQUAL PAY in solidarity but rather changed the fight to some women’s issues that did not square with the majority at all but instead fights for minority issues disregarding the ERA big picture.

Remember- When the Democratic Party refused to support women’s suffrage, the National Woman’s Party sought to punish the party by campaigning on behalf of the Republican Party.

Women’s Rights Convention In 1848, the Women’s Right Convention took place in Seneca Falls, New York; thus began the women’s suffrage movement in the United States. A national meeting was held in 1850 in Worcester, Massachusetts; then, in 1870, suffragettes Lucy Stone and Mary Livermore were seated as delegates at the Massachusetts Republican State Convention.

In 1872 at the Republican National Convention, a resolution was passed supporting admission of women “to wider fields of usefulness.” In addition to this resolution was the declaration that “the honest demand of this class of citizens for additional rights . . . should be treated with respectful consideration.” Read more at Suite101: Women and the Republican Party: Suffrage Rights First Fought for by Republicans | Suite101.com http://lindasuegrimes.suite101.com/women-and-the-republican-party-a67082#ixzz1pCc4dr6V

It is also disingenuous to teach Republican women to bash Democrats and their women when much of the progress we have made has been accomplished by the hard work and dedication of proud democrats who are fighting for women’s rights. Where would we be without the hard work of all the women who came before us and fought for better working conditions, better jobs and management positions, better pay, men’s support for more egalitarian family practices, family leave, better educational opportunities including Titles 7 & 9, sexual harassment laws, and so much more.

How can we forget or deny the focus changed and no longer applied to the majority of women and as we lost the focus – women split into conservative and liberal groups and right into the hands of the patriarchy and instead of bringing us back together to get ERA for the Majority – the 52% of all women which inclusive of the all minority women and including both parties and in the interest of justice – we come together on this issue that benefits all women and unites us in a common goal rather than divides us by what we do not share. Shall we instead continue to drag ourselves down listening to those who insist on bringing divisive issues prompted by politicians and their politics into it? These are political hacks and shills not ERA proponents with women’s best interests in mind – if it were not so – they would be binding all women together under the banner for which they fight.

As a woman I must ask each of you — are we all valuable except for women of the opposite party- or sexual preference, or religion, or color?

And if it really were over politics alone explain what happened during the women’s movement there was a * 40 year dry spell for Republicans what did the Democrats do for women?

When the 104th Congress began in January of 1995, it was the first time since the 83rd Congress of 1953—1955 that the Republicans had control of both the House and Senate. They had never controlled the House during the forty-year period of Democratic rule, and only briefly controlled the Senate, during the 97th through 99th Congresses of 1981—1987. http://www.lewrockwell.com/vance/vance96.html

During that drought it was Republican women who marched together with Democrats until politicians helped divide us. To hell with Shaffeley on the Right and her counterpart haters on the Left- let us march together down the center and get it done! Gimme a break – just bring women together to fight FOR something instead of always playing politics. Neither party (of the men, by the men, for the men or church ) and  gives a Rat’s Pitudy about women – it’s up to us to do for ourselves – that is what we should be concentrating on instead of fighting the game set us up to fight – it’s a men’s politics game! There is no republican war on women – there is a misogynist war on women.  Let’s play our own game by our own rules and win Equal Rights for women!

*”A once and often worthy civil rights movement has become a mere parody of its former self.” and: “Time was when real feminists fought for the right of little girls to be educated as well as little boys. Time was when they fought protracted and heartbreaking battles for women[s right to vote. Time was when they fought for the right to own their own property, to be in charge of their own monies, to be eqjuals before the law.
Time was when there were heroines such as Abigail Adams, Lucretia Mott, Sojourner Truth, Susan B. Anthony, and Elizabeth Cady Stanton. Whatever their personal vagaries, oddities, and conflicts may have been, they all fought for core values, values which included women having equal rights in education, in politics, in their homes, and before the law. They fought and suffered on behalf of future generations of women, and the victories they did achieve were made possible by changing laws and/or amending the Constitution–amendments which gave the vote to blacks and women. We don’t see enough of such women anymore.” ~Cynthia Ruccia

Enough already using women as pawns- we are not this stupid. There is a war on women alright but it is not just from the Republicans. It’s ALSO from the Dems blaming the Republicans! We do not need to be told there is a war on women – we know it and we also know we are being used. Both parties want our votes. If you’re not going to be a puppet being used by the left or the right, then why not stand up and ask if either party gave a damned why aren’t they putting more women on their slates? Are they picking lady VP’s this year? Are they filling their cabinets half full of women? War on women INDEED! The original suffragists had the right idea a National Woman’s Party could be bigger and stronger than either of these two lame ducks who would be nothing without us!

  • the liberal advocacy group MoveOn.org released a new television ad to coincide with the primaries, accusing the Republican Party of launching a “war on women.”

Guns vs. doctors, hammers, knives, bats and fists

BettyJean Downing Kling: The Majority United

Doctors : * Statistics courtesy of U.S. Dept of Health and Human Services.

1-The number of physicians in the United States is 700,000.
2-Accidental deaths caused by Physicians per year are 120,000.
3-Accidental deaths per physician is 0.171

Guns:  *Statistics courtesy of FBI

1-The number of gun owners in the United States is 80,000,000. (Yes, that’s 80 million)
2-The number of accidental gun deaths per year, all age groups, is 1,500.

3-The number of accidental deaths per gun owner is .0000188

Statistically: Doctors are approximately 9,000 times more dangerous than gun owners.

FACT: NOT EVERYONE HAS A GUN, BUT-Almost everyone has at least one doctor. This means you are over 9,000 times more likely to be killed by a doctor as by a gun owner!

NOT CONVINCED YET?

I had two daughters; Denise Richardson and Louisa Richardson. George Hartwig shot my daughter Louisa in the head with a shotgun while he was out without bail after having bludgeoned her sister’s head in with a hammer. Shall we now ban hammers also? What about knives and bats? What about strangulation?

Two thirds of all 1992 US murders were accomplished with firearms. Sharp instruments were used in 17% of murders and blunt instruments in about 6%the remainder in strangulation and poisoning. http://www.benbest.com/lifeext/murder.html#circumstance

Remember, ‘Guns don’t kill people, people kill people.’  Protect our gun rights!

In a Memphis, Tennessee study, 85% of murderers and 75% of murder victims were intoxicated during the murder. A review of 331 American medical examiner (coroner) studies published between 1975 and 1995 found that victims tested positive for alcohol in 29% of suicides, 38.5% of unintentional injury deaths, 39.7% of motor vehicle deaths and 47.1% of homicides. Half of those murdered by drowning were intoxicated at the time, but only 16% of those murdered by strangling or suffocation were intoxicated [ANNALS OF EMERGENCY MEDICINE 33(6):659-668 (1999)]. This could mean that it pays to be able to put up a fight! However, the vast majority of murder victims were killed by gunshot or stabbing/cutting of which 30.6% and 43.0% of the victims were intoxicated, respectively. The higher rate of intoxication for stabbings may indicate a greater impulsiveness for crimes committed with this kind of weapon (grabbing for a handy knife or pair of scissors in a moment of drunken rage).

A good piece of advice would be, “Don’t hang-around with (or marry-into) a bad crowd.” That includes associations with dangerous people, such as those who drink excessively, who use drugs or display anger management or control problems. If you find yourself with a dangerous person get away from them at the first signs of a problem and report the abuse immediately. http://www.documenttheabuse.com/

Next put yourself in a position of power – it may save your life!

An abuser is less likely to bully those who are armed and able to protect themselves. They usually move on to unprotected persons easier to victimize. George Hartwig would never have returned to the scene of the crime had he known a gun would be there waiting for him! If he had perhaps it would have been his brains on the walls, not my daughter’s! I like the second scenario better – how about you?

In the United States, law-abiding uses of guns outnumber criminal uses by about a factor of 1000 to 1,[8] and the removal of guns from everyone eliminates the lawful use of self-defense and its deterrent effect. “Americans use firearms to defend themselves from criminals at least 764,000 times a year.”[9] Specific examples of guns being used successfully in self-defense are easy to find.[10] “In 1982, a survey of imprisoned criminals found that 34% of them had been “scared off, shot at, wounded or captured by an armed victim.”[9] When Florida began allowing its citizens to carry a concealed weapon, Florida‘s firearm homicide rate fell by 37% while the national average increased by 15%. http://www.conservapedia.com/Gun_control
