Records: Fla. shooting suspect killed previous wife

LAKELAND, Fla. The man accused of killing his wife and then shooting two church pastors had pleaded guilty and been sentenced to 10 years of probation in 1987 in the slaying of a previous wife, according to court records.

Jeremiah Fogle, 57, is charged with murder and attempted murder after Sunday’s shootings. Authorities said Fogle shot his wife, Theresa, burst into the front doors of the church and shot the ministers before church members tackled him.

Fogle is accused of gunning down the 56-year-old woman inside their Lakeland home and running down the block to shoot the pastor and co-pastor of the Greater Faith Christian Center Church Sunday morning.

Theresa Fogle’s sister Maria Beauford said the couple ran a transportation business together. They had been members of Greater Faith, but had started their own ministry out of their house and regularly hosted Sunday services, Beauford said.

 Jeremiah Fogle, the Polk County man accused of shooting two pastors and his wife Sunday, was charged in 1986 with the shooting death of his previous wife in Highlands County.

Police found Fogle at his Avon Park home on another Sunday morning – July 6, 1986 – in his briefs clutching a Winchester rifle while his wife 34-year-old Diane Fogle was covered in blood and lying on a blanket on their bedroom floor with a pillow under her head, according to arrest records and news clippings from the case.

Police arrested Fogle for first-degree murder but the state later charged him with manslaughter. Fogle eventually entered into a plea agreement with prosecutors and was given 10 years’ probation, court records show.

(CNN) — TLC’s “Toddlers and Tiaras” has been mired in controversy since it debuted in 2009, and much of the distaste for the series stemmed from concerns about whether we were feeding the stage mothers’ desire for attention, or about the insensitivity in taping and televising children in the middle of a meltdown or temper tantrum. But whether you think child beauty pageants are just a chance for little girls to play dress-up, or a training ground for superficial, self-centered princesses in the making, everyone should agree that sexualizing a 3-year-old little girl is wrong.

In what was likely a misguided effort to gin up publicity and ratings for the show, TLC released footage of a 3-year-old contestant dressed as the prostitute played by Julia Roberts in the 1990 film “Pretty Woman.” This stupidity came just one week after TLC — still known to many as The Learning Channel — was forced to pull its Facebook page because of the deluge of negative comments over an episode that featured a little girl dressed up to look like Dolly Parton, complete with padded bust and buttocks.

It’s a chilling moment when the light goes out in someone’s eyes. A once-radiant child hardens from abuse. A woman’s heart shrinks after her husband’s abandonment.

The person looks the same, maybe acts the same. But something is gone, and what’s lost is irretrievable. It’s like when a person dies: in a heartbeat, the soul vanishes.

I see this phenomenon every day: a light dimming. The friendly shopkeeper snaps at me. My cheerful neighbor seems flattened.

And you hear it in the news: people acting strangely, going off the deep end. The most bizarre behavior becoming the new normal.

A thug bites off a finger. Sarah Palin’s church is torched. Black Panthers intimidate voters.

An esteemed Columbia University black architecture professor punches a white female coworker in the eye for not doing more about white privilege. He has no history of violence. Why now?

Meanwhile, liberal leaders, such as Nancy Pelosi, Maxine Waters, Bill Clinton, and Joe Biden, incite attacks on political opponents by using incendiary language, such as “barbarians,” “Nazis,” “tea-baggers.” Perhaps not coincidentally, flash mobs of blacks attack innocent whites all over the country; black youths injure or even kill non-whites in “knock ’em down” assaults.

In the past week or so, a senior member of the Congressional Black Caucus tells the Tea Party to go to hell, and the head of one of America’s biggest unions incites union members to violence: “Let’s take these son of a bitches out.” When Barack Obama takes the stage to follow this incitement, he says he is “proud,” and the following day his press spokesman refuses comment.

Why now? This may be the most important question of our time. Why are some people reaching the boiling point? Why do many others look vacant, like in an Invasion of the Body Snatchers? The shootings at military bases, from Little Rock to Fort Hood — why now?

It’s Obama, of course.

Liberals will excoriate me for writing this. They’ll insist that bad behavior is not Obama’s fault. He’s a man of peace.

But study the phenomenon of cults, and the dynamics are always the same. The leader can incite violence without ever getting his hands dirty. Obama is controlling the marionette of the masses.

If Obamamania is a cult, then Obama is the cult leader. Cult leaders routinely pull the strings of their followers. The most extreme example is Charles Manson. He rots in prison for murders he never committed. He didn’t have to do the dirty work. His brainwashed charges did his bidding.

I’m not saying Obama is a Charles Manson. There are varying degrees of manipulation, from using sexy blondes to entice men to buy cars all the way to hypnotizing them to drink poisoned Kool Aid. But there’s a common denominator in all mind-control: manipulating people through mind games.

As soon as Obama came on the scene, the programming began. His face was plastered everywhere, like Mao’s. In his speeches, Obama lulled audiences with a melodious voice and feel-good phrases repeated over and over. And he began inciting people with his charming smile.

First, the vultures starting swooping down on Hillary. Obama chose not to call off the dogs.

Then thugs invaded caucuses. Again, silence.

Which led to vicious misogyny against Sarah Palin and threats on her life. From Obama: not a peep.

We even saw armed thugs at polling places. Ignored and not prosecuted by Obama’s attorney general.

The moment Obama became president, he upped the signals. At the Grant Park rally celebrating his victory, the entire family eerily chose to wear black and red, colors associated with communism and black nationalism. Obama’s first radio address was broadcast in the Arab world.

Obama returned Britain’s gift of a Winston Churchill bust while embracing dictators. He gave a white police officer a dressing down for doing his job, in effect calling the officer a racist.

Obama’s greatest magic trick? Brainwashing the masses to believe that racism is a greater danger than radical Islam, and that Obama himself is in constant peril.

Opposing health care means you oppose Obama. Oppose Obama and you are the enemy.

Thus, more and more people are finding themselves on the receiving end of a fist, figuratively or literally. After the White House released a directive for his followers to strike back hard, a frail, diabetic black man at a Town Hall was beaten up.

Even women can get slugged in the face. Obama signaled during the primary that women were fair game.

Obama and the left are making sure that there is an increasing number of persuadable people. By displacing workers, panicking business owners with draconian laws, and whipping up rage and paranoia, they amass more lackeys. And people go along with the programming because they know that, as with all cults, they’ll be ostracized if they balk.

The American hard left knows how to create a cult because it is a cult, one with a violent history. The Black Panthers, Symbionese Liberation Army, Weathermen, Black Muslims — all nefarious cults.

And lesson number one of cults: group members must have their spirits broken. The young Weathermen, for instance, were required to participate in forced wickedness, such as animal abuse. Patty Hearst morphed into bank robber Tania after weeks of isolation, rape, and beatings by the SLA. Huey P. Newton sent his Black Panthers to the hospital or to the grave if they didn’t practice total obedience.

Isn’t the left doing the same thing to the masses today, albeit in a more clandestine manner? Aren’t people’s spirits being broken by the helplessness and horror of Obama’s acting as our king, with little regard for the Constitution — of beholding our economy in free-fall and the world exploding in flames?

So what’s the endgame here?

The first goal is power. The left has an insatiable need to control every aspect of our lives.

But there’s a deeper reason, one much more insidious.

The left wants to tear Americans down. Just as the Weatherman did to those naïve lost kids, they want to break our spirits. This goal of degradation is more crucial than their one-world government.

The progressives want to turn us into them, to make us feel as deprived and depraved and deadened. It’s the only way that they can silence the roar of shame and self-loathing.

What they don’t understand is this: it’s not going to happen. There are too many of us who won’t be hypnotized, who have a light in us that will not be extinguished.

We see right through them. We know who they are: the most piteous of human beings, and the most dangerous. Men without a country, orphans far from home. The forsaken and disowned.

They’re “hungry ghosts,” to use a Tibetan phrase: tormented beings who are starving to death from an inner void that they cannot fill, no matter how much they try.

Mother Teresa was once asked how she coped with serving the poorest of the poor in Calcutta. She responded that what she saw in the cities of the United States was much more disturbing, because it was a “poverty of the spirit.”

Poverty of the spirit. No truer words can be spoken of the progressive left. And they want nothing more than impoverishing your spirit as well.

Bi-Partisan Agreement at last: Hillary would have been a better President

For what its worth there is bi-partisan agreement nationwide and perhaps worldwide that is that America’s 2008 historic election should have been Hillary’s.

Today former vice president Dick Cheney praised Hillary Clinton as one of the more competent members of President Barack Obama’s administration, saying it would be “interesting to speculate” on how she would perform as president.

Cheney was asked in an interview with Fox News Sunday whether the Democrats would have been better off with Clinton than Obama as their candidate in 2012.

“Well, I certainly wouldn’t want to discourage good primary contest on their side, but I don’t want to be the position of endorsing Hillary Clinton. That might be the kiss of death for her,” Cheney said.

Even within his own party, President Barack Obama is facing mounting doubts about his re-election prospects, with fellow Democrats beginning to ask if Hillary Clinton would have made a better president.

Morris Reid, a Washington consultant and former Clinton official.

“This is the downside of him not being terribly political like Bill Clinton was. Bill Clinton woke up every day relishing this kind of fight, and Hillary is just a tougher person.”

Mr. Reid added some Democrats were feeling “buyer’s remorse” for selecting the president in his epic battle with Mrs. Clinton for the 2008 Democratic nomination. “The notion everyone is talking about is ‘is he Jimmy Carter or will he be a one-term president’,” he said.

Gary Pearce, a Democratic strategist in North Carolina, a swing state Mr. Obama is likely to struggle to retain in 2012, said: “Democrats are worried. He looks weak, he doesn’t say anything that grabs you, and people are looking for some kind of magic.”

On his nightly television show, liberal host Bill Maher dismissed Mr. Obama as a Republican, and asked his panel if Mrs. Clinton would have made a better president.

“Yes,” replied astrophysicist Neil deGrasse Tyson, an African American astrophysicist and broadcaster, adding that the Secretary of State would have been “a more effective negotiator in the halls of Congress.”

An article in the New York Times by Drew Westen, a professor of psychology at Emory University and a specialist in political messaging, summarized the dismay at Mr. Obama’s performance and was rapidly circulated online by liberals. “Those of us who were bewitched by his eloquence on the campaign trail chose to ignore some disquieting aspects of his biography: that he had accomplished very little before he ran for president,” he wrote.

Eighteen million of us knew better and yet a good number of us voted for him rather than vote for Sarah as VP. Well, I suspect they will vote for him again rather than for a Republican let alone Michelle Bachmann. Some people never change- never learn and just keep going back for more.

Blah, blah, blah – all this talk about what should have been doesn’t change a damned thing. Is it really worth the chance to say I told you so? Not so much when it is at the cost of our Democracy and watching the fall of our country. I would have rather been wrong!

So let’s not do this again- it is too late for Hillary and it is too late for the Democratic Party to undo the damage they did to our Democracy, to the DNC and to women. Let’s stop with the should have’s! It is what it is – yes, Hillary would have made a better and more competent president, but the DNC wanted to make a different kind of History and so they did. Moreover, history will record it so long as we never ever let anyone forget exactly what happened.

That is all there is left to do now- record it and never let them forget! Let’s move on! It’s time for a third party. neither of these two are worth a  hill of beans. Both ARE HELL BENT OF EXTREEMS  most Americans can live without arguing about or killing each other over. Let the extremist go at it while we mend our country !

What is wrong here?

Remember, not only did you contribute to Social Security but your employer did too. It totaled 15% of your income before taxes. If you averaged only 30K over your working life, that is close to $220,500. If you calculate the future value of $4,500 per year (yours & your employer’s contribution) at a simple 5% (less than what the govt. pays on the money that it borrows), after 49 years of working (me) you’d have $892,919.98. If you took out only 3% per year, you receive $26,787.60 per year and it would last better than 30 years, and that has with no interest paid on that final amount on deposit! If you bought an annuity and it paid 4% per year, you would have a lifetime income of $2,976.40 per month. The folks in Washington have pulled off a bigger Ponzi scheme than Bernie Madoff ever had. Entitlement my ass, I paid cash for my social security insurance. Just because they borrowed the money, does not make my benefits some kind of charity or handout. Congressional benefits, aka. free health care (They are exempt from the Healt Care they shoved down our throats), outrageous retirement packages, 67 paid holidays, three weeks paid vacation, unlimited paid sick days, now that’s welfare, and they have the nerve to call my retirement entitlements. These are the entitlements that need reformed!

535 Elected representatives from both parties have become millionaires who live extravegant lifestyles, flying in private 747  jets and spending money like royalty:

• Pelosi used Air Force aircraft for a total of 43 trips, covering 90,155 miles, from January 1 through October 1, 2010. The Air Force documented in-flight expenses for 22 of these flights totaling $1,821.33. The Air Force did not provide expense information for the remaining 21 flights.
• Former Speaker Pelosi received chocolate-covered strawberries as a birthday surprise on a March 26, 2010, flight. According to one internal Air Force email sent on March 25, 2010: “The speaker’s office is requesting egg salad sandwiches on wheat toast with fruit (watermelon, etc) for desert (sic). It’s the speaker’s B-Day tomorrow so we’re also asking for something like chocolate covered strawberries (dark chocolate preferred)…” The immediate response to the email from another member of the Air Force staff: “Copy all. We’ll plan something for the birthday and take care of the meal.”

The lavish parties and vacations complete with a separate entourage has proven our white house does not feel our pain. There are parties and state dinners and seperate vacations and vacations that seems to require two planes 4 hours apart. While Missouri drowned , people died and others starved Obama  dined happily with the Queen.  Guess he didn’t get the message from the backlash of the Bush administration when Baby Bush simply flew over New Orleans  on his way to a fund raiser or when he vacationed  and spent execcively during his eight years. Or maybe he learned – we are a dumb electorate — afterall Bush got 4 more years in spite of being incompetant

Someone please tell me what the HELL is wrong with all the people that run this country and with those of us that vote!

We are “broke” & can’t help our own Seniors, Veterans, Orphans, Homeless etc?  In the past, we have provided aid to Haiti, Chile, and Turkey to name a few. And now Pakistan home of Osama Bin Laden is still getting literally, BILLIONS of American tax dollars.

Our retired seniors living on a ‘fixed income’ receive no aid nor do they get any breaks while our government and religious organizations pour Hundreds of Billions of dollars’ and Tons of Food to Foreign Countries!

They call Social Security and Medicare an entitlement even though most of us have been paying for it all our working lives and now when its time for us to collect, the government is running out of money. Why did the government borrow from it in the first place?

We have hundreds of adoptable children who are shoved aside or aborted to make room for the adoption of foreign orphans.

AMERICA: a country where we have homeless without shelter, children going to bed hungry, elderly going without ‘needed’ meds, and mentally ill without treatment -etc.

YET, they have a ‘Benefit’ for the people of other countries hit with hurricanes and earthquakes and tsunamis shown 24/7 on 12 TV stations, ships and planes lining up with food, water, tents, clothes, bedding, doctors and medical supplies. We sent money for food to countries where the money never gets to the hungry but is instead used by the terrorists to further terrorize their own people and threaten everyone.

Imagine if the *GOVERNMENT* gave ‘US’ the same support they give to other countries. We are not saying we do not care about others but do not call our investment returns an entitlement and take it from US and give it to whom ever you please or to buy favors.

WE the people are very kind and generous, we can decide what charity we will donate to, and We can spend our money as we see fit.

OK, SO WHEN DO WE GET PISSED AND DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT?

Let’s reform the Congressional entitlements that they vote for themselves on both sides of the aisle.  Throw the bums out – all of them- USACLEANSWEEP
