Another inconvenient truth, the Dems drove us into this ditch!

JACK GARGAN

I am soon to be in my 81st year on this planet and during that time have spent much of my life writing.  This includes five published books and an unpublished autobiography, hundreds, perhaps thousands, of published articles (mostly on finance and money management), untold numbers of personal letters, emails and other correspondence, and, of course hundreds of full-page newspaper advertisements during my “Throw The Hypocritical Rascals Out” campaign of twenty years ago.  I consider this letter to be by far the most important writing of my entire life.  I hope you will copy it and forward it to as many people you know, asking them to do the same.

While I’m no big fan of George Bush, who I realize screwed up royally on many issues (including Iraq),  nor am I a fan of the Republican members of Congress, who, almost to every man (sole exception Ron Paul), sold their soul their office and their honor to climb into bed with the lobbyists who financed their re-elections, but the following FACTS are undeniable and should be circulated widely, especially to our Obama/Liberal friends.  They continue to make excuses for that group (mostly Democrats) who have done EVERYTHING wrong to get the car out of the ditch, especially their reckless spending which has dug the hole so deep we have lost generations of better times.  They continue to blame everything on George Bush  If Obama and the Democrats had concentrated their energies on improving the economy and employment figures instead of wasting the first 18 months of their administration trying to ram an unconstitutional, budget-busting health care system down our throats (which the vast majority of Americans clearly saw was a disaster waiting to happen), and bailing out the fat-cat bankers who proceeded to use much of the money to pay themselves obscene bonuses, while sitting on the rest of it (earning interest on US government bonds!) instead of getting it back into the economy, we may be in a lot better shape today!  As for the “Obamacare” plan, even an idiot can see that the present medicare program is on the verge of bankruptcy, so how in the hell can you add thirty MILLION more people to the system and claim it will save money???!!!  or even be feasible, for that matter.

The point of this article is to shed light on the terrible lie which the Obama team tries to use to blame George Bush for their inability to deliver the jobs and prosperity which they promised in the 2008 elections.  They keep pointing to George Bush as the cause of all our woes, when, in fact, by our Constitution, it is the CONGRESS of the United States NOT the president which controls ALL fiscal and monetary matters of the nation.  Sadly, too many Americans are not very well informed about our constitution and the checks and balances which have served our nation so well for so many years, up until recent times.  Part of this problem is the blame of the US Department of Education, which since its inception about 30 years ago has seen our country’s educational system plummet from #1 in the world to its current ranking about #29!  Who needs that multi-billion dollar beaurocracy of a department which destroys rather than improves the educational system of the country?  Advocates for abolishing that costly department may have a case.

Who is really to blame for this mess?  Here are the FACTS!

The day the Democrats took over was not January 22, 2009.  It was actually January 3, 2007.  On that day the Democrats took over TOTAL control of the House of Representatives and the Senate, the start of the 110 th Congress. The Democratic  Party controlled a majority in both chambers for the first time since the end of the 103rd Congress in 1995

For those of you who are listening to the kool-aid drinking fools propagating the fallacy that everything is “Bush’s Fault”, think about this:
January 3, 2007 was the day the Democrats took over the Senate and the Congress.  At the time:

The DOW Jones closed at 12,621.77
   • The GDP for the previous quarter was 3.5%
   • The Unemployment rate was 4.6%

George Bush‘s Economic policies SET A RECORD of  52 STRAIGHT MONTHS  of JOB CREATION!

Remember, the day of January 3rd, 2007 was the day that Barney Frank took over the House Financial Services Committee and Chris Dodd took over the Senate Banking Committee.

The economic meltdown that happened 15 months later was in what part of the economy?  BANKING AND FINANCIAL SERVICES!!!

THANK YOU DEMOCRATS for taking us from 13,000 DOW, 3.5 GDP and 4.6%  Unemployment… To this CRISIS by (among MANY other  things) dumping 5-6 TRILLION Dollars of toxic loans on the economy from YOUR Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac FIASCOS! (BTW: Bush asked Congress 17 TIMES to stop Fannie & Freddie – starting in 2001 because it was financially  risky for the US economy).

And what U.S. Senator took the THIRD highest pay-off from Fannie Mae AND Freddie Mac????  OBAMA. And who fought against reform of Fannie and Freddie???  OBAMA and the Democratic Congress.

So when someone tries to blame Bush, REMEMBER, JANUARY 3rd, 2007…. THE DAY THE DEMOCRATS TOOK OVER!”  Bush may have been in the car  but the Democrats were in charge of the gas pedal and  the steering wheel.  They were driving.

What I’m getting to is that this November’s elections are the single most important thing to happen in your lifetime.  It is absolutely necessary that you not only vote out EVERY incumbent congressman and woman, but that you make sure everyone in your family, your friends, your neighbors and your co-workers does the same.  Then put term limits on the new bunch or they will become as rotten as the present bunch!  THIS IS YOUR LAST CHANCE TO RETURN TO A COUNTRY THAT OFFERS OPPORTUNITY AND FREEDOM FOR ALL.  VOTE AS IF YOUR VERY FUTURE (AND YOUR CHILDREN’S AND GRANDCHILDREN’S) DEPENDED ON IT…BECAUSE IT DOES!!!  Vote for ANYBODY who is not an incumbent.  You couldn’t do worse.  But that does not finish the job.  It will be just as important in November 2012 to continue to vote the rest of the incumbents out including this president.

PS  As further incentive, please remember it was ALL those incumbents, including yours, who gave themselves a huge “cost of living” raise while eliminating all cost of living raises for at least three years on all retirees!  (AND raising the cost of social security Medicare insurance substantially while exempting themselves from Obamacare!).  Don’t believe the lie, “It was all those other guys”.  You did not hear of a single one who complained or refused to take the money, did you?
