Allegan County, Michigan – February 27th 2010. A Family court judge in Allegan County, Michigan sentenced disabled protective mother Maria Melinn to jail for 21 days in response to non payment of child support.
Maria has been unable to work and thus pay child support due to her medically diagnosed disability. Maria’s ex-husband broke her back during a rage of anger.
The judge chose to ignore the physician’s report that Maria is disabled and cannot work. The judge refused to acknowledge legal documentation that Karin Huffer M.S. Marriage Family Therapist author of “Legal Abuse Syndrome” helped Maria fill out under the American Disabilities Act (A.D.A.). In addition, this judge also chose not to provide accommodations for Maria’s disability, which he’s required to do under the ADA.
On November 6th 2009, Maria was sentenced and served 10 days in jail. This was for buying a pack of cigarettes in the last six months. The judge reasoned that if Maria can buy cigarettes, she can pay child support. Maria was unable to inform the judge that her cigarettes were bought by a family member, because she was so shocked.
Currently, this judge has threatened to put her in jail again without accommodations. Maria’s disability has been recognized by the federal government by the receipt of a settlement. Please help this disabled mother.

I’m so glad I found your blog. I was wondering if she receives disability payments from Social Security? The State has an ADA coordinator that can work out the reasonable accommodations. If she fills out paper, Let me know please.
Maria’s social security just got approved so the wheels are slowly turning, but not soon enough. I am a friend of hers and am completely mortified by what I am witnessing here. I have not been allowed to speak on her behalf because I am not an attorney and the judge ran out of ‘time’ to have her call me as a witness. HE still has not ruled on the evidence we presented 3 weeks ago at an evidenciary hearing, which did include pictures of clear abuse of the husband hurting the youngest child, as well as a letter from the child asking to be removed from his home because he ‘hurts’ him. It is disgusting ALSO, that the ex-husband blatently purgered himself 3 times during this hearing (which is also verifiable).This is outrageous. ALL it would take is MONEY, MONEY, MONEY to right this wrong.
Does Maria have an attorney? What state is this in? I must get this information to someone that can help?
Really Wendy you need to either do your homework or get your head out of the clouds because this is all a bunch of s**t… i know these children very well and have there whole life and what you are saying is so untruthful that it makes my head spin…i can give respect where it is due… but PLEASE do your homework…and if you really care about these children help her to start living in reality so the children who are still with us can live and be happy and not torn anymore… life is to short and precious to keep living in ignorance…bless you in all your journeys yet to come…
I am willing to stake the veracity of Maria MeLinn and my own, on a lie detector test and under OATH before any jury, attorney or judge. I have been Maria MeLinn’s mentor (as I stated previously) since she was 13 and have stayed in touch with her off and on throughout the years. She is one of the nicest, most generous people I know and I love her dearly and so does my entire extended family.
OBVIOUSLY, court records are going to reflect in favor of Mr. MeLinn at times as that is HOW it works when you have a corporate attorney paid for my his daddy with unlimited funds it would appear. Most of what Maria says and represents IS stricken from the record as she HASN’T been able to afford an attorney, and at times, has barely been able to get a ride to make the court appearances, has had little time to prepare due to LATE court documents (verifiable) and sickness.
I have seen the xray of her low back and IT SHOWS one of her vertebrea completely severed. I have also READ and she possesses the original POLICE report from when Blake assaulted her, He was put in handcuffs and jailed immediately, IT costs MONEY to get police documents and court records. I have paid for a lot of these to try and help Maria, but it is a DAUNTING task to represent yourself. It doesn’t really matter what anyone says on here, the time will come when she will be rightfully represented in the courtroom and the rest will be history. I know she has God on her side and I wouldn’t want to see anyone mess with Him.
I have been in the courtroom with her a few times. THE JUDGE scares me! Judge Cronin told me I was an irrelevent witness just because I took the stand to speak up for her. I said “it figures” and he threatened very angrily to throw me in jail; He told me to count my lucky stars that I was NOT sitting in the Allegan County Jail. I had to apologize to the courtroom and to him as well; which I did, even though I don’t know what I did wrong. All I did was take the stand to verify that Maria was in the hospital because Blake had indicated by his testimony that she “faked it”. What a joke. I saw her angiogram when I visited her at Borgess Medical Center and spoke to her cardiologist who said she coded and they brought her back. This happened one day after the funeral of her eldest son who committed suicide last year. It is my understanding that Michael (Maria’s son, not Blake’s biological son or the grandparents biological grandson) used Blake MeLinn’s parents gun to shoot himself, after shooting up their house and their family cat. I was told that he was intoxicated with alcohol obtained at the MeLinn’s household. I have NOT seen that police report yet. In the courtroom appearance referenced above, Maria was wearing her nitropatch and the judge (Cronin) still disregarded HER and told her if she could get two medical doctor’s to back up her claim of being “TOO fragile for a jail cell” by 5:00 pm that day (it was about 1:30pm on a Friday, then she would not have to serve ANOTHER 21 days in jail…”the clock is ticking Ms. MeLinn”, he said. Her Pastor was also present in the courtroom in total disbelief of the judge’s (Cronin) conduct. Thankfully, her mom was able to bring her to both the cardiologist’s office and her PCP to attain those letters in time and SHE did not serve time in jail that time.
THE heart attack was partly related to NOT being given her aspirin when she was put in jail when she served her 21 days for smoking a cigarette and non-payment of child support (there is documentation to support this claim) and the stress brought on by her EX, Blake MeLinn, who had the audacity to post HER mugshot as his facebook profile pic. He is doing so again, probably hoping for her untimely death. So mature.
Her ex-husband, BLake MeLinn, has hauled her into court appearance after court appearance. And I must say that if the eyes are the light to the soul, this MAN seriously scares me.
When she was rushed by ambulance because she had a massive heart attack the day after her 18-year old son Michael’s funeral, she had two blockages that required stints and had paddle marks on her chest from the emergency room (heart center) at Borgess in Kalamazoo. According to the doctor, Maria was dead on the table; they didn’t even have time to put the gel on her chest to prevent the burn marks. And the bruising on her hip area was astronaumical from all the pressure they had to apply and from the tubing going into her femoral artery into her heart in order to save her life. I SAW ALL OF THESE MARKS and WAS at the hospital! This occurred the day after she had to bury her first born son. Let’s see. Let’s start there: HER son who passed away, is not even this exhusband’s biological son. Blake MeLinn misrepresented himself (probably able to do that because Maria changed Michael’s last name so that Michael would have an easier time when he started school) as the biological father and was able to get all of Michael’s personal effects after the death by saying he was Michael’s biological father. I have read a letter written by Michael dated a few years ago AND Maria tried to submit it to Judge Cronin along with the pictures of their youngest child’s FACE bruised (I think he ruled it inadmissable). HE has STILL NOT RULED, but only TABLED that entire court hearing from almost a YEAR ago, again, MAYBE because MR. Blake MeLinn pergered himself in the court of law…hmmm. The letter from her oldest son stated that Michael himself lied to authorities in the past about his mom and that he felt bad about it, he was a troubled teen trying to get his way and he said so in this letter. Maria still HAS this letter.
Eventually, Maria will find an attorney to get these facts on record because MONEY is all it takes to be represented properly (especially in Allegan County) and the world will see her complete vindication. I long for the day when this lamb led to the slaughter is no longer a martyr and victim but the thriving Godly mother with full custody of her children and can be all HE has called her to be.
God, I pray for everyone involved in this situation, especially please protect these children. PLEASE intervene and right all the wrongs; tie the hands of the enemy and free the truth in your precious name and by your precious blood I pray, Amen.
P.S. I noticed some who write on here do not even put their name, that makes for very interesting commentary. As for WHY I haven’t responded sooner to the major character assasinations taking place on here, I was busy in college for nursing and had to bury my mother whom I took care of for 14 mos. in my home and helping my daughter who’s fiance died on Jan. 1, 2011. By the way, MARIA was here, at my house during the first week of 2011, (AS SHE HAD NO electricity at her apartment). SHE was HERE supporting me and my family emotionally through these tragedies.

Just to share a bit about this incident…This incident happened in my home, Maria had a scrape on her head when all was said and done, she did not break her back;nor did her husband. The situation was this; Maria was in my home with another man whom she was having an affair with,and she was very intoxicated his name was Eric. Her husband was angry but by no means did he intentionally hurt Maria. He was trying to come into the apartment to take his kids home when he pushed on the door she let go of the door at the same time;he fell into her,with a bit of force due to pushing on the door and Maria letting go. This was purely a timing incident and we were out dancing at the bar Rags the very next night and Maria had no pain what so ever I at the time had known this family for several years and they took me in when I was in dire straits after getting out of a truley abusive relationship. Never once in those years did Maria’s husband ever raise a hand to her.
As to her alleged disability; Maria is a prescription drug abuser not alleged she is. This was my friend for many many years and it pains me that she has this situation so skewed in her mind. I was the one who she left her children in the care of while she had countless affairs with men, pretended she was a Muslim woman. Maria has met men on the internet, falsely claimed to be of Muslim faith even had them provide her trips to Morocco sending them not just pictures of herself but her young daughter also dressed in a Burka, falsley representing her as well.
I truly wish these claims would be investigated and ALL the facts put out there before passing judgement against the other party.
Please take the time to get all the facts on this case, go to the court get the public documentation ,there are reports from Psychatrist’s, doctor’s nurse’s, teacher’s and many many more witness statements including police reports. She has been denied disability since 2003/2004 investigate for yourslef.

Robin wow, I was not in a relationship with anyone as I was married!!!!! That and much of your knowledge that you give is so false. The break in this friendship is when your son died and I became pregnant with Isaiah shortly after…. You were upset and I can understand why, You did cocaine with my husband and I never knew it, I can not imagine what else I did not know!!!!! My children are my world and will always be no matter what allegations that you throw around…. If I would have aborted Isaiah as you made the appointment then all would be ok but I think that you felt I am condemning you as to your past by not making that decision…. I am not, your life is between you and God as is mine!!!! I have made enough mistakes that you could bring to light instead of making up stories….I will be posting the police reports on this site with the words you said that night so there is no confusion as to who is telling the truth!!!! Thank you so much Betty Jean, I will be submitting a whole lot of evidence for all of these accounts. I lost my son who these people claim to be protecting… If you are speaking the truth first of all then it gives me pause to wonder why you are not using your real names. Masking behind made up screen names… I have the original police reports as well as some other things that I have kept over the years… I will start on Tuesday to get things together for EVERYONE to see what I have lived with for so many years…. As you know my precious angel died last year and one day after burying him I had a massive heart attack and died,(they obviously got me back) my ex told the judge in court that I was lying so I even had to prove that!!!!! I had to take care of my health first this past year and my heart could not take the stress of seeing wild accusations thrown around….. NOW I AM HEALTHY, lets get this stuff out here so that maybe it will save another abused mother from dealing with these kind of issues… I do not feel sorry for myself at all, my mistake was marrying someone who had different beliefs and values then myself… I was 18 and stupid….. I do feel so sorry for the children who still deal with it, they have all asked me why their fathers family is so angry at me.. I am from Hebrew decent and my ex husbands father is telling my son that I am Muslim, I am not sure what he is trying to accomplish with these tactics at all. If I were in fact Muslim then what would he accomplish??? I am from Hebrew Heritage and grew up in a wonderful Christian Church…. I will start with all of this first thing Tuesday morning…. I have already had loved ones offer to help go through paperwork…. They asked for proof and threw words around well get ready because I have kept a whole lot over the years for such a time as now!!!!!!!!! Thank you so much Betty for being patient with me and allowing me he time to physically heal and gain strength before responding!!!! I requested accomodations and the court made a total joke of the ADA…I gave them drs orders that I can not bend over squat etc etc. can not stand, sit, or walk for more then 15 minutes at a time and yet in the jail they put me on a 1/2 inch thick mat on the cement floor…..Then the female officer yelled at me cause it took me 10 minutes to get up off the floor…All the while not letting me take my perscribed medication because they are narcotic, I have 5 herniated discs in my upper back and had surgery on my lower back 8 months ago….I thought the surgery was a sucess with the titanium helping keep the nerves un-pinched but since jail even that is not doing well anymore…..I have nerve damages which causes Basil Artery Migraines which cuts off blood flow to my brain, I have passed out from lack of blood flow…..My doctors question if im having TIA’s or Seizures….This is all horrific, All of my ailments are exacerbated!!!!!!!I have to leave now to go back to jail/hell. I think my son is a good Dad,and he was always loved by both Dave and myself.He married you with no problem even thru you were pregnant with someone else’s child,well that child became our first grandson regardless of this and Blake loved that little guy and you used poor michael as a pawn all his life to get your way.Our family took care of you and all the children for years and you showed your respect by dating while you were married to Blake,so dont say you were married and you didnt go with other ,We do know the names and can easily get them to say so including the arab you thought was his son that turned out to be blakes bio son.now whats that again you didnt go out with other men because you were married,really? you need to stop all these lies,but its ok because you really believe them so I guess its ok.
According to Blake himself, he was beat for leaving the cap off the toothpaste by your ex husband #2 named Bing. He also stated that you had broken arms and black eyes etc by him. He said you finally had to pull a gun on him to get him to leave, I am not stating facts that I know rather what I was told during the time I was married to Blake and what came out in counseling….Dave came into his life at around 12 years old and Dave was 11 or 12 years older then Blake… He kept his former name Buck until I asked him to change it before we married… He had never met his bio father since 1 years old? If I am not mistaken… Blake and I lived on 8.00 an hour with 2 children until I did the research on how much a forman in a tool shop makes (he is your employee)… The results that I got were 14.00 an hour on average in our city at that time… You did not support us, you did buy clothing for the children and toys… We paid our bills and what we needed to and lived pretty modestly for years…. You may be able to convince others that you supported us but I was there, so was your son…. You controlled every aspect of our lives just as you did Michael when he came to live with you…. You have turned my angels fb page into a hate page and deleted all of Michael’s family and blocked them….Michael was with me 17 years and while he had PTSD and prolonged PTSD he was safe…He was with you for months and committed suicide, he could not take the fact that you guys are totally obsessed with me, his words!!!!!! He even went to juvy one time for repeating the lies that there were no clean clothes in the home and no food.. I had to prove to the police that it was not true and being that I bought around 400.00 in food the night before and he had a closet full of clean clothes they took him away in cuffs, 12 years old and I cried my eyes out!!!!! I had no say in it… You people collected 16,000.00 in donations when my son died and payed 0 toward his burial or funeral I was told by an employee at Maurices that you collected a few thousand from them in donations, she obviously thought it went to his funeral and was proud to tell me they helped… In fact you did not even bother to show up to your grandsons funeral…. Nothing could have kept me away from saying goodbye to my angel, nothing!!!!!
You also say that I was dating and on drugs- back that up lady… You have more then enough money to get a PI and I have lived like one is following me for years, SO BRING IT!!!!!!
As for Blake being a good father let me just say this… Good parents do not demonize the other parent (if it is true or not)… They definitely do not stop them from loving and interacting with a parent… All of the wild accusations have been killed in court and I have been defending myself for years…. Get ready, I have proved myself over and over and over again in the courts…. Lets move this forward and get the drug tests and lets have a party at the courts!!!!! I may not be able to pay an attorney but I am totally done taking the crap you throw at me!!!! I pray for you all daily for my own benefit and to keep bitterness out of my heart, but I am done being your punching bag!!!!! Michael knew everything long before he died and confided in myself and my mother about the stolen property at your house and the drugs… Leave me alone and leave my children alone, you are psychologically damaging them by showing them court documents internet sites,and putting them in the middle of it, you were caught in a lie right on this page already!!!! Is your life that empty that you feel the need to attack someone you have not seen in 11 years????? Really???? As soon as the children leave your sight they love me just as much as they ever did!!!! To this day I do not date as I will get drug into court and drug through the mud!!!! Abuse kills….

I have followed this case for some time now. I have read both sides…even went to Allegan and pulled the files (since I had to be there for my son’s custody case and all the BS his ex is putting him through…) Maria is a full out liar. She is a whack job to say the least. Her son’s blood is on her hands and it will never wash off. I pray for these kids. I am glad that finally they are seeing their mother in the same light that Judge Cronin has. Unfortunately, my son’s case is almost as ugly. We will have our day in court very soon. Prayers to all!

All but 239.00 a month goes to my ex husband for child support, I live on 239 a month… The rest goes to the man who disabled me so no I can not afford to live let alone get an attorney. The courts had me paying more then 1,000.00 a month in child support even though they had documented proof that I was disabled from my neurosurgeon as well as my doctor. They do not place cadaver discs in your spine and titanium if there are no health issues guys and the domestic violence is convicted and documented… So are the medical records since the initial injury in 1998…

This is one of the situations that’s not right but they do it anyway. Money talks and that’s all the courts hear because I’ve been thru the same thing myself…fighting for my daughter. Fought for 7 years in court in FL to get my daughter and myself away from the violent ex and then the courts turn around and they give me permission to move back home to NC with my daughter but they gave the violent ex every holiday that there is and I don’t have her for any of them and she has to spend the summer in FL with him and his mom because he has supervised visits. The courts are in the wrong 99% of the time when it comes to placing children with the parent they should be with and take them from the one that doesn’t need to be in their lives. It’s all about money and they all need to be stopped.

After reading this “STORY” Maria had told everyone here I had to speak up. I am one of her ex-husbands. I am not the one she claims broke her back. Her back was NEVER broken. I have seen the medical reports myself. The doctors found NOTHINGS wrong with her physically but what she will not tell you is the three doctors’ reports that found her (for lack of better term) “NUTS”. The state of Michigan removed all her children from her care for being an unfit mother. I lived with her, from what I saw was a crazied drug addict. She has failed to follow court orders so many time now, I have loss count. That is why she goes to jail because the judges are so sick of dealing with her crap.

I would like to point out a few things that have been stated on this page
Blake was NEVER abusive towards Maria first of all, and Maria happened to pin him between her car and his, while the children were in the car. Who is to say that Maria and supporting parties are more credible then Blake and supporting parties? How are we to know whether or not a parent is responsible and fit? Ill tell you how, there are many witnesses who see the true Maria, who saw the environment she raised those kids in, and how she treated them when she wasn’t passed out on the couch. Correction, he was in Juvenile home for most of his time with you, you didnt know him, and just because there is alcohol in the fridge does NOT mean anything, all our time with you you had an extraordinary amount of Alcohol in your home. So that was not a factor of any part in Michaels death, what was a decision tho is how YOU treated him and how YOU raised him. He had to break a door to get to those weapons, he forced access but he was not given it. It is with these that i ask one question to you, was there EVER a time when we didnt have “access” to wine and beer and rum in YOUR care? The answer is no, you spent most of the day passed out on the couch and most of the night drinking heavily while talking on the computer and exposing Hannah to people you didnt even know. I said it once and i shall say it again, dont insult my family name by pushing the blame of your sons death off of you and onto two people that want nothing less then true happiness for ALL of the gandchildren that have been given to them, that has made you reach an all time low. I would just like to say that the only site my grandmother introduced to me was the facebook to which i replied on it the TRUTH: Well, let’s address these issues at hand, shall we?
I’m not sure if you read the police report about my brothers suicide but it even said IN FINE PRINT that Michael used a large screwdriver to get into the door leading to the closet with the guns. Leading to the ultimate reason for Michaels decision, Alcohol, I truly cant remember a time when there was no beer, wine, or vodka in the Maria household, in fact, I can even remember Isaiah, my younger brother (now 8) walking around as a young toddler with empty beer bottles drinking the few drops that were left out of them. All the time that he was doing it she was passed out on the couch, quite a mother she was, all right. And I don’t mean that as a compliment, she was a terrible mother, either drunk or passed out on the couch at most any given moment, usually staying up until 6 AM and sleeping in until noon at least, I can remember one time specifically. I also remember I was doing the dishes and was standing on a chair to reach the sink (gives you an idea about my age), when Maria stumbled into the kitchen, obviously, even to someone of my age, extremely drunk. She mumbled something about us “F@!#ing kids” then wandered off, managing to hit BOTH sides of the hallway in the process…that sure is love for your children. Now, to the topic that bothers me THE MOST, the fact that you insult and accuse MY grandparents of providing the Alcohol and weapon is beyond a doubt the lowest thing I have ever seen, knowing that you’ve not only ruined Michaels life, but made many others a hell of alot more difficult, and still can sleep at night is beyond me. I cannot express how disgusted I am that you have even said that. You and I know very well Meema and Papa wanted NOTHING but the best for Michael and the rest of us, they would do anything to help us Maria, ANYTHING, why cant you see that and know that we are happier without you, were happier with our Ma, Dad, Meema, and Papa, and the fact that you try and push the blame towards two of the people who would do anything for Michael is beyond my knowledge of understanding. Just for the record I am sporting titanium in my lower spine, I still have 5 herniated discs in my upper back and neck that I need an additional surgery for this fall from the abuse. If there were another cause of my injuries I would have already been taken to court for slander by these peoples corporate attorney…..The only pain medication that I take is Motrin 800 mg 3 times a day as well as my cardiac medications… You speak of things that you have no idea about. You have not been around me in about 13 years and yet here you are making comments as if you know things… You need to back up, there are children who have been diagnosed with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder from when I was hurt, including Michael who was also diagnosed with extended PTSD… I really do not care if you hate me but at least love the children enough to keep them out of stuff…. There are healthy ways to go about things…. I have made enough mistakes in my life but you do not speak of anything real. I do not ever touch vodka also…. Unfortunately you will not stop until I am dead, then I will still be the cause of every difficulty in your miserable life. It has been like that since I met Blake… Your misery is your own, my life goes on, I will prove you wrong but you are not a thought in my mind!!!! Wow!! what a lot of blame and hate.I am Michael, Jonah, Hannah, and Isaiahs grandma also. My name is Sally. I have been silent until now I am sure Jonah thinks he knows what he is saying ,but its been almost 4 years since hes lived with his mother. He has been through a lot with his parents and the other influences that have so much hate against their mother. The talk has not been kept from the children. They read what reports is given to them. They have quoted them to me. They only know what has been said to them. Michael has also said alot about what took place at Blakes house which I wont repeat, and at The childrens’ grandparents house. When a child is in this situation with so much talk going on . What makes you think they dont talk about the other people. We have heard our share of drama from Michael, But the last thing we want to do is attack and bad mouth every thing that is said. The children were told not to talk bad about the Melinns and to stay out of adult issues many times , The grandparents have done alot for the children their is no doubt, but we have also. Because of the hate I cant see the children, because it is so uncomfortable. I feel like im on the defense all the time. You people have Maria in court all the time trying to take her rights away from her. I think the last count was 59 times. So because of this, you just keep talking to the children and they come back and tell us all the time what you say. Clearly you ae not willing to cut the babies in half and clearly they are willing to sacrafice the children for their own sakes. They have been demonizing Maria for 16 months – the venon ran deep and she never uttered a word but they just kept coming in attacking even me for dating to post the story . When will the courts realize that mothers are natural protectors of their children. We were created to give birth and raise children. Mother’s intuition has been relied on for centuries, outside of family court. With the recent ruling in the IACHR on the Lenahan (Gonzales) case, these issues are supposed to be looked into, DV is supposed to be addressed before death results. The judges and court workers may have immunity on this issue, but they have to live with the role they have played in this issue. May it burn a hole through whatever soul they have. The Family court system brings terrorism to it’s lowest form. My prayers go out to Ms. Melinn. On issues such as these, we will never shut up, give up, or go away. Children belong with their mothers, not with fathers who abuse them.
This is such a sad case. The kids are big now and the fight between the parents shuld be over and forgotten. One boy was so destroyed over the battle that he killed himself — little did he know that would be used as another tool for these two to use against each other.
The remaining children are now being used by the family who has control and I do mean control. It is very very clear that they are being brainwashed and influenced to hate their mother. I see this over and over in so many of these cases.
If Jonah is reading this – I want to say one thing- No matter what your mother did – or you think she did – SHE IS YOUR MOTHER. Your father is no angel either. She deserves as much respect as he does and it appears she is definately not getting it.
If it were the other way round I would say the same thing about respecting you dad – even if he broke her back – I would say respect him as Dad. But of course if he did hit her – I want you to know there is NO REASON on earth to ever hit another person and hitting her deserves legal punishment.
Remember this Jonah- to take sides agaist one paren over another is a sin against GOD! Parents are not perfect and you have laid an awful blame on one over the other under duress- take it back while you still can. DO NOT let anyone cloud your judgement – be your own conscience!
Your other grandmother has a sound idea- listen to her- she didn’t say her daughter was perfect or blameless but instead said – her children should be left out of the adult affairs. She is right- two adults made some bad mistakes – it escallated – that is between them and they must pay for their own mistakes you cannot be judge or jury.
You need both your parents and you need to tell them both to stop talking bad about each other – and that grandmother who badmouths your mother … if she really had your best interests at heart- she ould never ever say a bad word about either parent – she should know that its wrong!
I you live with dad’s parents- she takes good care of you according to the other grandmother– everyone is thankful for that but money and a roof over your heads doesn’t make up for messing up your minds and hearts and the damage that can be done to you emotionally.
It’s wrong Jonah to talk bad about a child’s parent no matter what the parent did. Mom gave you life and you are a part of her! To bash her is to bash a part of you even if you don’t realize that now!
Tell Gram to back off if she respects you! And if she loves you she must stop hating or at least showing hate for that half of you that is your mother.
Help your other remaining siblings to heal and you must self heal! What killed your bother was not Mom or Dad – what killed your brother was the HATE — the hate between everybody. HATE KILLS.

Hi… I just want to put some light on the blame game which is going on here for months now about Maria who is being accused and being blamed for false reasons which is very disheartening. I have known Michael and have spoken to him Many a times and he was a great Kid and a good son ( May God Bless his Soul) he was very protective about his mother Maria being the eldest son he was always there for a mother when needed, however he was brain washed ( with full of lies, misconception and false stories about his mother since he was a teenager) so Badly by his father and Grand parents which made him turn against a mother which I don’t think he was faulty coz kids do not understand what is right and what is wrong coz they are kids. But being matured one should understand and never forget the fact that A MOTHER CAN STEP INTO FATHER SHOES IN RAISING THE CHILDREN BUT ANY FATHER IN THIS WORLD CANNOT STEP INTO A MOTHERS SHOW AND BE A GOOD MOTHER which is a known and truth fact which no one can deny that. Who calls the cops on an eleven year old kid? Answer: Someone who can’t handle an eleven year old kid. I tend to believe Jonahs since that’s what they train you to do in any child abuse course. For a year now, I have been with the man that you claim abused you. Never once has he ever raised a hand to me or made me fear him. If he was an abusive person it would not take much “provoking” on my part for him to find a reason to be physically abusive towards me. He has not shown any abusive tendencies whatsoever. I have been with an abusive man before, and never have I seen any “red flags” with Mr Melinn. If anything, he’s the most caring and tender man I’ve met.
I would like to mention the incident in which you filed a police report against me, for parking too close to you. You claimed I tried to run you over. I parked next to you on the passenger side of your car, nobody, except for the child, got out of the car. And, for the record, the child was watching a movie with headphones on in my truck and had no idea what we were laughing about.
I think it very irresponsible on your part to involve your 9 yr old son in any of this. To show him your “x-rays” and tell him his father “broke” your back, is mental cruelty on your part. You claim Mr Melinn is trying to “alienate” you from your children, what then are you doing?
And for you to continually blame Mr Melinn and his parents for the tragic and devastating accident, that is not what a Christian or follower of God does.
I would welcome you to show a copy of the police report, I am very happy that he has not raised a hand to you… He has been court ordered to anger management two times… As far as the abuse against me feel free to check out the police reports and Mr. Melinn’s own words, He even admitted to police that it was not the first time he abused me, the abuse was tried and convicted with much damage to my spine… I am making everything factual and you all should as well, convicted domestic violence…This page is not about my history of abuse it is about a judge if you read the initial article… What happened in my history and abuse is with the children and I for life… They suffered PTSD from when I was injured, again this was clinically diagnosed by a psychiatrist as well as Michael was diagnosed with Prolonged PTSD… As far as the incident at the police station Isaiah seen it all and was horrified about the entire thing!!! I am having difficulty understanding why the current wife of the alleged abuser and the mother of the alleged abuser are posting and he is not. Is he unable to defend himself with words? It would be easier to understand if the mother and father argued it out on paper than the mother and all these other people. No one really knows what went on between Maria and her Husband, except for Maria and her husband.

Meanwhile the children – used as pawns has already claimed one child and grammy has also blamed that on the devil woman and she will not relent until each chold understand s they are half devil!
Grammy is the real danger here because she does not realize these children don’t need to feel like devil spawn! She is forcing them to believe they must choose between good and evil- she is tearing these kids apart! That is the evil here – and she is perpetuating it big time!

As I understand it, in Michigan grandparents will soon have as much rights than parents, perhaps more in some cases. It is obvious to me that some sort of intervention needs to be done to be sure the kids are safe. As far as the best interest of the child goes, the first criteria should be if the children are safe. After that, if abuse is an issue, than the abusive parent is not a fit parent and the other best interest points won’t work at all.
To answer your question, no. There is never a reason to hit another other than self defense or to protect a child.

Do you really think a video of a young child being coached is a motherly thing to do?This helps the child’s well being and his mental issues?This is how you mess a child’s mind playing these games.Maria walked into an office the day before the court hearing,without her wheelchair,which she told the Judge it was for an ankle sprain the last time she was in court,now its in all her photo ops LOL,what a joke she only uses this when its for the cameras or videos,which there are two of now.We have pictures of her daughter dressed in a bursa as a child sitting in front of computers,letting grown men she meet on the internet comment on how beautiful her lips were!!really this a Godly person?I think you all need to start comparing her stories from one video to another and see what she says about her back,she has two different explanations for her back injury’s.You need to compare notes and you will find a lying women here.
First let me say that Maria can only stand for 20 minutes and then sit for 20 minutes and then stand for 20 minutes and so on. Maria states her back was broken. Her back has healed, but do you really think a back fully heals? She now has damage to the bones. I watched her in agony when we went to Washington DC and she had to ride in the back seat for 10 hours there and then 10 hours back. By the time we were finished she could hardly move for a week. She is a drug user???? Then how does she get perscriptions for all the drugs she has to use? How does she go tubing………….the same way I do with the physical issue I have. Not only did we have intertubes with bottoms to them so we can sit on our knees, but we also had a boat to lay flat in. As for the che child in question, he wanted to be in a tube next to his mother and if he could, in the same tube. We also had a double tube. There was two adults and two kids with six different types of floating devices. I personally have been around this child several times and did the interview in video being question. My friend who has a Masters Degree in Social Work watched the video and stated that I did a great job interviewing the child. This woman has 4 children and one of them was sexually abused by her father. She also stated she believe the child is being abused. Watch the video and look at the child when he looks and rubs his leg where there used to be a bruise. Watch him as he talks about how his teeth were knocked out. At no time did this child appear to not want to do the interview. At no time did this child appear to not want to be on camera. This little boy amazes me and misses his mother. Maria wants to be normal and do fun things with her friends and child. I also have been through Michigan’s corrupt family courts and my children kept from me. I currently know mothers who do not have custody of their children and Judge Patricia Gardner gave the abusive fathers custody. The Michigan cours in their oppinion states they have reversed several of her orders for not applying the law. I also talk to women all over Michigan and the US. Children are being sexually abused, beat up, and mentally abused by fathers and judges are giving them custody and ignoring the truth. Why do you think this is happening? I will give you one guess? Yeah, they state Maria was not in the hospital even though Maria has a picture of herself in the hospital on her Facebook page. I personally went there and brought someone who could be with her that I trusted and knew they would not leave her side. Do you really think that people who are exposing bad judges are safe? Like Maria’s picture post once said, “If you find me dead on a jogging trail, you know I was killed someplace else.” So if we happen to have an accident or come up missing, just know it is not an accident and we did not just leave town. Oh, and if they try the suicide card, just know that if I was going to commit suicide, I would be taking a few people with me. I am sure you all know what that is, and it is not Maria!

Second I joined my judges church to stop being threatend by Judge Patricia Gardner that she would throw me in jail. Ask Maria how many time she has been in jail. There are five mothers, where the Michigan Court of Appeals reversed Judge Gardners rulings and gave the mothers custody back, that I can not locate. There are five mothers who do not want to come forward because they have felonies and believe it will ruin other mothers chances.So in reality this makes 65 mothers. The media will not pick up on what is happening in our family courts. There are over 3 million mothers in the US who do not have custody of their children. Usher just got custody of his kids and did you also see how Ms. Rutherford lost custody to her childrens father who lives in France. For the sake of children no one should ever attack either mother or father to the children as children naturally idolize their parents. I would like you all to know that there were four Judges that have ruled on this case.Judge Beech, Judge Baillargeon, Judge Buck, Judge Cronin. Judge Cronin did not take the children away from Maria it was Judge Beech.
Judge Buck is a juvenile court judge, He was Michaels judge he has never been a family court judge… Your facts are wrong!!! He placed a no contact order between the grandparents and blake against Michael as whenever Michael was around them he became abusive, now that is some facts!!!!

It was a long road of wavering through life with my Michael… I think often about how he could have easily done something more sinister at his death… Many of you do not know the lengths that I went to to protect my son but after reading this maybe you can open a dialog about mental health without the stigma… I fought against a step father who told this child that he did not need medication, rather his mother did… I fought with the help of the local juvenile who did awesome but unfortunately I was beating my head against the wall due to the step father and step grandparents…. My son also had a ton of guns on him when he was found and could have done something drastic as his girlfriend was said to be in a ice cream shop with several young men… The problem came that after he committed suicide the step grandparents told my other children that Michael was headed to find and shoot me (a blatant lie on their part)… I no longer had control of Michael at the time of his death but did report 5 months prior that he was threatening suicide and there were guns in the home (I knew this because the girlfriend was at my home at the time of a phone call from Michael threatening to jump out of the boat very intoxicated yet again at the grandparents home). Michael wanted to make sure that he followed through with the suicide this time so he shot up the grandparents home before he left… How dare you pass judgement on this mother who simply did the best that she could with a child whom she loved more then life… No doubt that as a parent we believe that we can help children when in fact it is the child who ultimately has to grow up and make his own decisions, we can simply be there for them in good times and bad…. If you have never had your own Michael then dont you dare to judge this Mother about what she could have or should have done…. If the step father/grandparents had accepted Michael for who he was and with his issues then his story may have been different.. If he was not suffering long term PTSD and extended PTSD as clinically diagnosed then perhaps his story would have been different… Only G-d knows if that would have changed the outcome… I do not want to hear one word about how his mother might have known… You may know that your child has issues without believing they could do something so horrific, that boy could have been Michael, I think of that each time a tragedy as this happens… How about we stop the stigma and start to see how much the family courts are tearing up our children, shall we?????

Please take the time to get all the facts on this case, go to the court get the public documentation ,there are reports from Psychatrist’s, doctor’s nurse’s, teacher’s and many many more witness statements including police reports. I find it unbelievable that Maria Bauer Melinn still goes on about the broken back by her ex husband, when so many people say she is telling lies.all of this cannot be helping her other 3 children getting on with their lives, which any loving Mother would want to happen.
