Driven insane by govt. corruption and society itself

I don’t advocate violence. However — I do realize that people have limits.

Life in the U.S. today is very hard and becoming increasingly difficult for many to just survive and cover their basic needs (for family and self). I won’t even go into the hit a lot of people’s self-esteem and dignity has suffered. But, it’s deep. Here in California — it seems to grow moment by moment for a lot of families.

It seems only the rich, crooked and corrupted are the only ones guaranteed a ‘safety’ net and opportunity to advance themselves — so to speak — while the law abiding, average Americans are left footing the bill. And, when we ourselves meet with personal loss or financial destruction — no one (or no agency) is there to genuinely assist us until we are back on our feet. Most average Americans are simply left to fail. And, generally their demise goes unnoticed and unaddressed by society at large (only known to family and friends).

For those interested — Foxnews.com has Joseph Stack’s web “manifesto” posted in its entirety. I just finished reading it. Some may call him crazy or a dangerous nut. But, after reading his words — he strikes me as a once hopeful, educated and decent man who’d finally reached the end of his rope. A sane man driven insane by the ever increasing escalation of the modern day corruption of our Government and by society itself.

I believe this W.H.’s agenda along with our corrupt Congress is only going to drive a lot more sane but frustrated people to this point. How they react will be anyone’s guess. Call me naive — but we can’t keep going in this direction. It’s obviously not working and only getting worse. One of the reasons the Tea Party movement is wonderful for our nation right now is that its creating a place, a group (as well as cultivating an atmosphere) which not only gives so many who’ve lost their dreams and who may be cynical to the point where it drives them to inaction — hope for a better future. They are surrounded by others who realize enough is enough. They are finally demanding to represented by their politicians and are seeking a peaceful, legal way to remove all the graft along with the self-absorbed politicians only interested in pleasing lobbyists and the “moneyed” elite.

Tea Parties allow them to productively and POSITIVELY express themselves and vent their valid frustration while simultaneously providing a platform which can bring about real change through our election process. Only when we have leaders and politicians who truly represent us can this country get back on track to being a nation which provides opportunity for EVERYONE and not just the elite. Americans are a people who pride ourselves on earning our own way and creating a future for ourselves which allow us to achieve our personal dreams. Many in Congress seem to have forgotten that or they just don’t care. Regardless — I see not just the Tea Parties but many other movements aimed at creating a viable third political party in this country as a positive MUST right now.

Below was taken from Joseph Stack’s note. It’s quite telling. We really need to at least attempt to form a third political party before it’s too late. This shouldn’t have been allowed to happen to the victims in the building, Joesph Stack’s family and certainly not Joseph Stack himself. What a tragedy.

I remember reading about the stock market crash before the “great” depression and how there were wealthy bankers and businessmen jumping out of windows when they realized they screwed up and lost everything. Isn’t it ironic how far we’ve come in 60 years in this country that they now know how to fix that little economic problem; they just steal from the middle class (who doesn’t have any say in it, elections are a joke) to cover their asses and it’s “business-as-usual”. Now when the wealthy fuck up, the poor get to die for the mistakes… isn’t that a clever, tidy solution.

  1. You are right, these days, many feel his pain.

    With more to come.

    And for no legitimate reason.

When one considers that the taxes we (willingly, if begrudgingly) pay are funding illegal, unconstitutional expenditures, rather than keep clucking and complaining, as part of the TPP goals is to refuse taxation without representation.

The federal gov’t and also, individual state governments, all make expenditure forays into areas they have no right or authority to spend.

If you take a look at the budgets, top on down, you will see that fully 70% of what DC assesses is illegal and likely 60 – 70% of what each state collects is spent to fund illegal expenditures.

It is time for a tax revolt, in every state, shoulder to shoulder.

It is time to starve the beast.

  2. It is time to starve the beast- When folks are driven to this point and called nuts but it isn’t nuts that we are working our asses off and giving half of it to the crooks in DC to do whatever the hell they want with it without our permission – I gotta ask – who is nuts?

We keep doing things the same way getting the same result and call this poor sould nuts?
yeah he was nuts but so are we if we sit by and keep on doing the same old stuff over and over- it is time for a revolution- throw the bums out on both sides once and for all!

  3. Vote the reprobates out! Vote them all out!

I don’t condone the measures that Mr. Stack chose to make his point but, it makes one wonder what if he had joined in a concerted effort with the rest of america to issue in “real change” through his vote and his voice.

  4. Yes- he should have joined the Tea party but he got tired of waiting for the people to wise up in his 53 years he has never seen us rise to the challenge and he plum gave up. Poor soul- if only he had held on a bit longer he would have seen hat the people are actually waking up this time! we are actually seeing both wings of the vulture that is picking at the peoples bones.
He would have seen that he was not alone anymore but he just got tired of his fellow countrymen backing off when their own crooks brought home the bacon and those who got crumbas settled for it at the cost of everyone else.
Greed killed off many a proud patriot by driving them crazy.
This man went mad when his country turned against him. He went the wrong way – just as our representative went the wrong way . The difference is – we bail out the crooks in DC and on Wall street and in big Corporatioins by usings the peoiples money and then we toss the people wjhose money we use to the gutter and then we call them nuts for complaining.
I guess we are and have been for waiting this long to stand up.
