Setting Sarah up as a Birther!

Another Rant by BettyJean Kling

What a neat trick- ask a loaded question get a fair answer and then lable that answer as you will. Of course we  do that for Sarah Palin but this time it backfires – this times it looks just plain stupid in the face of the facts! how else could she have answered you idiots? Who are the real dimwits in this scene? Read the story and you decide! And Huffington’s headline shows what morons write for her too! Oh and by the way – we the people do have a right to ask for a copy of his credentials and a full dossier on a would be president and vice presidential candidate – she  and others complied – he did not!

Sarah Palin Goes ‘Birther’: Obama Birth Certificate ‘A Fair Question’ (VIDEO)

Sarah Palin declared on Thursday that the legitimacy of President Obama’s birth certificate is “rightfully” an issue with the American public, and that it is “fair game” for politicians to question Obama’s citizenship.

The comments came during an interview with conservative radio host Rusty Humphries, who asked Palin whether she planned to “make the birth certificate an issue” if she runs for president in 2012.

“I think the public rightfully is still making it an issue,” Palin said. “I don’t have a problem with that. I don’t know if I would have to bother to make it an issue, because I think that members of the electorate still want answers.”

Humphries — who began the interview with a rendition of the song “Sarah, Queen Of The Wild Frontier” — followed up: “Do you think it’s a fair question to be looking at?”

“I think it’s a fair question just like I think past associations and past voting records. All of that is fair game,” Palin responded, adding that “the McCain-Palin campaign didn’t do a good enough job in that area. We didn’t call out Obama and some of his associates on their records and what their beliefs were, and perhaps what their future plans were, and I don’t think that was fair to voters to not have done our job as candidates and a campaign to bring to light a lot of things that now we’re seeing manifest in the administration.”

Palin later referenced “that weird conspiracy theory freaky thing that people talk about that Trig isn’t my real son, and a lot of people that went ‘Well, you need to produce his birth certificate, you need to prove that he’s your kid,’ which we have done, but yeah, so maybe we can reverse that, and use the same [inaudible] thinking on the other one.”

Of course that translated to her becoming the latest BIRTHER! What nonesence- What was she to answer to that question given that she herself was asked to prove the who the mother of her son was by being asked to show his birth certificate! Was she to answer – that POTUS was exempt if the people have questions of a candidate – and yet she was not exempt as a candidate? Gimme a break!

UPDATE: At 1:16 AM ET, Palin posted the following on her Facebook page:

Stupid Conspiracies
Voters have every right to ask candidates for information if they so choose. I’ve pointed out that it was seemingly fair game during the 2008 election for many on the left to badger my doctor and lawyer for proof that Trig is in fact my child. Conspiracy-minded reporters and voters had a right to ask… which they have repeatedly. But at no point – not during the campaign, and not during recent interviews – have I asked the president to produce his birth certificate or suggested that he was not born in the United States.

  1. And here I always thought we knew who the mother was. There is usually a nine-month or so pregnancy, isn’t there? She does bring up an interesting point about the double standard. Why does her common sense irritate people so?

  2. Yup, you got that right, BJ. There’s an article in SFGate today. These people are so pathetic:

  3. Senator John Kerry, the Democratic candidate for President of the United States in 2004, first came to national prominence through his spokesman role for Vietnam Veterans Against the War (VVAW) before the US Congress.

In 1971, when Kerry was 27 years old, he represented VVAW when he testified before the Senate Foreign Relations Committee. The next day, H. R. Haldeman, chief of staff to President Richard Nixon, told Nixon that Kerry had done “a superb job” in denouncing the Nixon administration’s policy.[1]

You have to wonder how a fiery, young John Kerry would have reacted had Nixon stonewalled a representative of the U.S. military.

I am so glad that I do not have to swallow the crap that our present day troops must endure. No doubt they each willingly provided their birth certificate. Now they have to salue a jackass who won’t.

  4. The “Progressives” so trusting of the likes of Ayers, accept quasi-documentation of a birth to a Kansan who migrated to – are you kidding me? Hawaii, where she became a future State Department Employee with a twisting pedigree that cannot be verified, … the legend burnished in “Dreams of My Father” about FRANK, the perv, the faery dusting that paid his undocumented way through Columbia and Harvard… We were together in Virginia at the PUMA conference when the lying M/F, John Edwards, was exposed and I hope we’re all together when these blind lemmings are told what they know and won’t admit.

Note in the above how Plouffe is worried about his book being outsold by Palin’s book. Both Plouffe , Obama, and others in that group are the Wuss Generation.
