IMAGINE: Women united as a 52% voting bloc

Please visit my website and make your decision. Many of my listeners and readers thought we were full fledged liberals but we have decided we never were now that we understand what it really means to be a liberal.  Many of us  also cannot claim to be true conservatives! Truely- what most of us turned out to be are Independents.

I always knew that is where I fit best. Absolutes are never a good thing for me- I find its better to be flexible and be able to bend as the situation calls for. In any event as a woman and part of the 52% of the population- the voting block and the citizenry which requires representation and who demands fair and equal laws and fair treatment- I believe we need to be united BUt currently most of us have been divided by issues that keep us diametrically opposed.

In two years I have found that each side is not as radically set in these roles as we have been  led to believe. Indeed we have so much more in common than not. We need to come together on those things which bind us and fight together for those things which benefit us as a whole rather than be forced to fight each other over those things which we disagree and needlessly fight over because we are forced into these corners. No one group ever agrees on all issues – we are no different yet we have been fighting each other as if enemies for over 40 years. It must stop- we are defeating ourselves as a group! IMAGINE if men were split in half as a voting group who despised each other as men?

I am fighting to get us there and determined to find a way to use our power to work for us on those things which we need for ourselves as women, for our children, for the future of our countryto bring our country back to the glory on which it was founded.

  1. The Majority United and working for our own good. That’s hope and change I can believe in. I have more in common with the woman making yogurt from yak’s milk in Mongolia than I do my brother.

    • We do have so much more in common than most of us realize – if only we can stop the back biting long enough to realize that we are playing right into the enemies hands. Don’t ask me who those enemies are- I only know it is they who stand to lose power if and when we stand together and take what is rightfully ours– That being the inalienable right to pursue life liberty and happiness!

  2. Oh there are so many enemies, but what it really boils down too is the patriarchal system we all live under. This is the basic paradigm that must change for any other change to have any real effect.

    • You hit the nail right on the head- so why are we fighting each other? When will we realize that we really need to get it together and become the majority force that can break that system once and for all? I believe it is beginning to hit us like a brick more and more of us are recognizing this and coming to the center but far too many of our sisters are still holding on to the old cat fights that have kept us at each others’ throats for far too long. All I can say is Imagine women united until we actually take it to fruition.

      • I imagine you might not agree or maybe, you may and not understand it.

But in my experience w/right wing women, few are one issue voters.

Most will vote for a pro choice candidate who is fiscally responsible, male or female. For 50 years, the choice has truly been the lesser of two evils.

That’s how so many RINOs get in.

As repulsive as they find abortion and by extension NOW’s agenda overall, they have and will vote based on economics first.

    • 100% in agreement.

    • I wholeheartedly agree, conceptually.

And is why I question the wisdom of the womens’ movement appealing to the patriarchs for remedy.

After 50 years, it must have become painfully obvious that it is a failed strategy.

Even women in DC who get there w/promises turncoat and support the status quo.

      • As long as we are a patriarchy this will be true to a degree. If women began to work together as the majority, it can and will change. It is the patriarchy that benefits from the division.
