Women’s Issues Ignored: ladies oblivious to the facts!

Survivors Justice begging for attention to women’s plight right here in America  has caused me to rant again: Author asks ” What are we going to do for them???” http://survivorsjustice.com/2012/10/31/what-are-we-going-to-do-for-them/ I responded and am posting my reply as an article- if you agree please let her know suou side with survivors!

Note- this is not about abortion- I am pro-choice for your personal rights! Tthis is about all the other rights that every other woman also has a right to demand and whose choices are not considered as important and whose life , liberty and pursuit of happiness depends on more than reproductive rights! There is more to life then the right to end it- some of us are struggling to live it!

Apparently the war on women has nothing to do with beating them, raping them, abusing them , starving them, or taking away their children to award them to the batterer who wants to avoid child support and alimony. It has everything to do with dividing women into two political groups; those who want children and those who want the right not to have them! In the process the majority is split into minorities without enough power to affect change for womankind but enough power to sway elections. We are being USED ladies and abused. WAKE UP!If you ask me – ignoring all the things that we really need- like the litany of problems I mentioned above and jobs, education, the debt, war, economy: price of food and utilities etc. etc. is the war on women.IGNORING all of US- is the war!

When is the last time you needed an abortion more than food, safety for yourself and your children , a place to live, a job, your batterer jailed for his crime, or a court to listen objectively before turning our children over to the pedophiles or batterers who abused them?

But what do we know – we are beaten, battered, stupid breeders who apparently don’t need equal rights, just a lot of rhetoric that reproductive rights makes us the most powerful beings on earth because we hold the power of life and death.

What a load of shit- we are being murdered at the rate of 4 a day by our intimate partners. We are beaten by those we love and trust every 9 seconds – we are raped every 9 minutes and they tell us all we want is to abort a possible pregnancy?

Gimme a break – I want the right to castrate the bastard who raped me and any other son of a bitch who rapes my child. I want these batterers locked away! I want pedophiles castrated and put on an island. I don’t give a rat’s ass about their civil rights.

I care about the civil rights of the majority – which in case you have not noticed – WE DO NOT HAVE! What we have is the right to abort and nothing more! I care about the rights of innocent children who have no voice and are victimized by adults, the courts, pedophiles and would be mothers who take their rage out on the child instead of the perpetrator.

OBAMA’S “HOT MESS” WOMEN

By Sharon Sebastian
Website:  www.DarwinsRacists.com

Toblerone chocolates were used by the Germans to gain favor with some French women during World War II.  Nylons persuaded others to cohabitate with a ruthless enemy that had invaded their cities. During treacherous times some went into survival mode at the expense of their neighbors and their country. Others acquiesced to chocolates and nylons, patriotism be hanged. Many, as a result, were left haunted during their lifetimes by the betrayal of their country.

Today, in America, uninformed women are willing to make an irrational and dangerous trade-off of the rights and freedoms of all Americans. In exchange for their vote, the President of the United States and Liberal Democrats entice women to trade-in their God-given freedom and Constitutionally guaranteed rights for “free contraceptives” Never mind that contraceptives are plentiful in varying forms. Or, that $9.95 birth control pills are available at pharmacies, and that contraceptives are not outlawed, prohibited or endangered. Otherwise, contraceptives would be a major black market item like crack cocaine. Never mind that the cost of pills divvied-up between the two-who-would-tango approximates $5.00 per person per month. The offer of free contraceptives incites a simple-minded priority with some women of getting something for free.

Barack Obama’s free contraceptives for your vote is a hot mess strategy that insults women on many levels.  Slang definitions of hot mess are a mess to the extreme and/or a person or thought in disarray but still holding some appeal. Democrats are revealing that Liberals view women not as thinking, innovative and entrepreneurial members of American society but as walking reproductive systems. Democrats cannot ask women to vote based on a sound economy, more jobs, and less government spending because Obama has failed to deliver even one of the three. A sound economy would allow women to prosper and choose their own forms of birth control instead of free contraceptives of the government’s choosing. After four years, Obama’s track record is a $16 trillion debt, 8.3% unemployment and no national budget to curb his reckless spending. Revealing his appalling narrow-mindedness and abnormal fixation, Obama’s definitive goals for American women consist of abortions, sterilizations and birth control.

Prime example of Obama’s hot mess strategy is one presented to Congress by Obama supporter and Georgetown University law student Sandra Fluke. Fluke’s argument implies that American taxpayers should pay even if a woman uses sex as a party favor on date night: Without insurance coverage, contraception can cost a woman over $3,000 during law school, Fluke laments. For a lot of students who, like me, are on public interest scholarships, that’s practically an entire summer’s salary. Fluke already has taxpayers paying for her education and now she wants her sexual activities covered as well. It is difficult to take such a woman seriously since Fluke admitted during testimony before Congress that the university already provides insurance covering the pill for women who have a variety of medical conditions — such as a friend with polycystic ovarian syndrome. At her age of 30-ish, Fluke appears to want taxpayers to pay up, no matter that her sex life is her responsibility and no one else’s.

Founder of The Majority United, BettyJean Kling, has long been a strong advocate for women’s rights and a tireless protector of abused and neglected women of all ages. Kling takes offense at the archaic views that Liberals have of women: What women are to their party is a vote and little else. Dumb as dirt, the very vocal Liberal women have been willing to settle for sexual function issue promises [for free contraceptives] rather than insist that every issue is a woman’s issue. Real women care about more than birth control and abortions. Most women’s priorities include the cost of food-gas-heat-oil, education, jobs, clean air, and war. We are not about to settle for a single issue, nor should we be pigeon-holed into believing that there are “women only” issues.  There is no issue that we are unconcerned about, we work we pay taxes, we are consumers, we are the majority and we hold the majority vote– we should be taken seriously and not judged by the minority radicals that claim to speak for all women — clearly they do not!

Obama’s rallying cry to women is, Get your abortions, your sterilizations and your free contraceptives here. It is a calculated distraction by Obama from serious issues and an insult to women. Obama’s women are willing to forego privacy and allow government to peer under the covers. The greater concern should be what is behind the curtain as Obama orchestrates an unprecedented power grab one of the most audacious in U.S. history. Duping American women is part of that process.

Obama sells snake oil about looking out for the middle class and women. Thanks to Obama and Democrat policies, based on percentages, more women have lost jobs than men since Obama took office. The latest Pew Research Center report reveals that middle class incomes under Obama are lower than they have been in decades. Women, along with men, can expect continued job losses if Obama is reelected. But, you will have your free contraceptives.

More women and children are in poverty. More people are on food stamps as government dependence balloons with millions of Americans out of work. But, rest assured, Obama will make sure you have your free contraceptives.

Obama pays men more than women. The Weekly Standard reports that Obam’s war on women hits them directly in their take home pay: Colorado-Republican State Senator Greg Brophy offered an amendment that noted female staffers in the Obama White House earn an average of 18% less than male staffers.” But, you will have your free contraceptives.

Under Obamacare, expect long waits while decisions for medical treatment for yourself, your family and your parents are made by a board of unelected Obama political ideologues. If you disagree with treatment or prescribed medicines, you will have no one and nowhere to appeal if treatment goes wrong. But, you will have your free contraceptives.

Under Obamacare, the government is granted full access to your medical and financial records and can seize funds from your bank account. But, you will have free contraceptives.

Home ownership is at its lowest since 1965 with a reported 1 in 4 family homes underwater and selling at a loss. The housing collapse is a direct result of a scheme whereby Democrats coerced mortgage lenders and banks to hand over loans to unqualified buyers who could not make payments. Democrats are reportedly poised to do a repeat, plunging the nation into a deep recession. But, you will have free contraceptives.

Massive budget cuts loom over American troops fighting to preserve America’s rights and freedoms. Meanwhile, back home, Obama sabotages Constitutional authority, undermines Congress, asked Americans to spy on their neighbors and report any anti-Obama sentiments to a special White House snitch website, unleashes unrest in the Middle East, buoys Russia and China’s disrespect for America, and undermines America’s security by releasing classified information that puts American intelligence and military agents in harm’s way in an effort to glorify his role as Commander-in-Chief.  But, you will have free contraceptives.

Free Enterprise, energy independence, freedom of speech, religion and gun ownership are under assault by Obama’s liberal administration and its shadow government of 40+ unelected czars. But, you will have free contraceptives.

Americans of faith will be forced to pay, via taxes, for contraceptives and abortion-inducing pills for strangers, both married and unmarried. Taxpayers’ dollars will pay for partial birth abortions, long advocated by one-time Senator and now President Obama that include the legal crushing of babies’ heads to insure the death of living infants. Obama’s policies openly devalue life, disregard Biblical principles and proliferate declining cultural values. But, rest assured that Obama will see to it that you will have your free contraceptives.

Obama has robbed Medicare of over $716 billion already resulting in diminished senior care along with fewer doctors who will accept seniors. Obamacare pushes millions of Americans onto the Medicaid roles. Funding and staff that once went to our nation’s most vulnerable, our mentally and physically disabled, face severe cut-backs, closed facilities and over-crowding of those that remain open. Case workers expect warehousing of patients. But, you will have free contraceptives.

Obama and Liberal Democrats have set the “women’s movement” back decades. The leaders of the women’s movement touted as its goal, strong, independent, self-supporting working women who could lead America into the 21st century. Empowered by self-determination and attaining equal opportunity (undeniable rights for all women), feminists declared women would not have to rely on anyone, including Big-Daddy-Government. What hopeful feminist leaders could not foresee was a future President who would crash the economy, promote welfare and food stamp dependence, cost women their jobs, pay women on his staff less than male counterparts, define women by reproductive functions by designating abortions and sterilizations as top priorities in a woman’s life, force record numbers of women and children onto the poverty roles, mock their faith, make jest of our mentally disabled, decrease income levels for the working class, increase the numbers of the elderly poor, strip Medicare of billions of dollars to dump into a socialized medicine scam, denounce hard-won advances by women by declaring that they did not build their own businesses and successes in the work place, and then act like he is doing women a favor by giving them free contraceptives. The war on women is well underway and it was begun by Barack Obama. But, he promises, you will have free contraceptives.

Barack Obama expects women to be easily distracted by his current day version of nylons and chocolates free contraceptives. It is a divisive tactic typical of Obama’s endless attempts to section off segments of society as “victims” whether based on income, class, age or gender.  America’s issues are women’s issues. Despite Barack Obama’s efforts to divide and conquer, men and women from shore to shore stand united as Americans under God to defend this nation.

The real war on women: Dirty Words on Clean Skin

BettyJean Downing Kling

Up to now we’ve essentially heard from male authors writing from a male perspective. Dirty Words on Clean Skin, with courage and conviction, recounts the experiences that launched the REAL “War on Women.” Finally, after four years of silence, I am heartened that this woman author is coming forward to expose the truth as we actually endured it. This book is written by one who speaks for millions. Hat’s off to Anita Finlay and thank you for misbehaving! Afterall – Well-Behaved Women Seldom Make History~ Laurel Thatcher Ulrich

A shocking exposé about the real war on women…who’s buying, who’s selling and why they get away with it. This eye opening journey chronicles both Hillary Clinton’s sexism-plagued historic run and the rampant denigration of women that rages on today with impunity. Dirty Words on Clean Skin transcends party politics. It is less about the treatment of one woman than the ramifications of denying equal respect to all women. This first person narrative will resonate with many who feel a burning frustration with mainstream media and the state of our political dialogue today. In 2008, Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama waged an epic battle for the presidential nomination that captured the imagination and hopes of millions, but the joy of watching a qualified woman vie for the presidency was marred by newsmen and pundits calling Hillary Clinton a hellish housewife, Nurse Ratched, she-devil and bitch. DIRTY WORDS ON CLEAN SKIN examines the tactics that do damage to the credibility of powerful women and the cost to those watching from the ground. Anita Finlay’s shocking political odyssey travels beyond Hillary Clinton’s historic candidacy to investigate the media’s troubling influence over our electoral process and the behavior of a society not as evolved as advertised. Whether the subject is Michelle Obama, Sarah Palin or Elizabeth Warren, no woman is immune. The facts speak for themselves and drive this carefully researched, explosive and conversational exposé. For sixteen years, polls have named Hillary Clinton America’s most admired woman, yet when it counted, the media depicted her as a vile harpy standing in the way of history. Today, articles from The New York Times to the Huffington Post are encouraging her to once again stand for the Presidency, yet any prescription offered to a woman attempting to break the “highest, hardest glass ceiling” will be worthless without an honest discussion of the culprits and their methods. That discussion has yet to take place. Anita Finlay

Dirty Words On Clean Skin: Sexism and Sabotage, a Hillary Supporter’s Rude Awakening

Ms. Finlay’s book resonated with me on so many levels, especially the awakening to the rampant sexism and misogyny in the 2008 campaign. Once those two were out in the open, it was as if a sleeping giant had been awakened. Sadly, sexism and misogyny are still very much in the fore, especially in the political realm. Thank heavens Ms. Finlay chronicled this period in our history lest it be lost. This book is a must-read. The Rev. Amy J. Samonds

Dirty Words On Clean Skin brilliantly uncovers the dark side of our “beloved” patriarchal democratic system. Pro America through strength and conviction, Anita Finlay sheds light on our country’s internal war with feminism and its long hold on our “glass ceiling.” Despite the destructive mass media bias, Anita’s research, effort and awareness has given us a tool to discern the truth about our current political process. Dirty Words On Clean Skin reaches into the heart of America and reveals the upheavals and crisis women face in our current backward thinking political process. Anita’s responsive, investigative action into the injustices of our country’s media bias has awakened us that constructive change is needed and within our grasp. Shelby Heard

Thank you Anita Finlay for writing this book!!!! Our media has underreported (and that’s putting it kindly) the fact that 3.4 million diehard lifelong Democrats left the Democratic Party in 2008 over the disgusting sexism emanating from the “party for women.” It was such a shocking and unbelievable time and it was swept under the rug. Finlay’s book names chapter and verse of this awful saga in real time. Many of us are still as furious as Finlay as to what transpired, and the REAL magic of the Obama campaign was how it broke the bond between so many people and the party that they loved and considered to be “family.” It will be a good read for skeptics who still don’t understand what happened, and it will be a sad but important reminder to those who experienced the events the way Finlay did. Wherever a person stands on the historic election of 2008, this book gives a more complete picture of what occurred. A must read for all historians, history buffs, Obama supporters, and really anyone who follows politics. Well done Anita Finlay!!!! Cynthia Ruccia

ERA: Only Women can end the “War on Women!”

BettyJean Downing- Kling

ERA is a Bi-Partisan Issue! NOW is the TIME! Women must unite and take advantage of this great opportunity to force both parties to end the “War on Women.” American women need to call BOTH the Democrats and Republicans in the House and Senate and tell them to pass these bills! WE need to tell them the war is over and we are united for the benefit of all women. Do we want the ERA or do we want a Democrat only sponsored bill? The Left has been lobbying the left but the women in the center and leaning right deserve ERA too. This is not a liberal bill this is a civil and human rights bill and a bi-partisan issue that affects all women equally whether they work in or out of the home. The time has come to end the bickering that has lead to the infighting that keeps us divided against ourselves. I agree the Republicans have passed bills against women’s rights but what have the Dems done for us lately? Has ERA been on the table, do they pay the women as much at the White house as they pay the men? Do they really value us as much as they say they do or just enough to get by and is that really what we will settle for? Let’s garner the strength of as many women as we can by ending the war against each other, the greater war against women is our own! Together we have the power to have so much more than what we are settling for! The time is now – right now– to demand both parties put their names on these two bills. Only when women unite and show strength – only when we show power will they listen to us and that can only happen when we end our own war on women!  Let them hear from all of us that we all are tired of this war!

Call your Representatives and call your Senators!

On March 22, 2012, nine Senate Democrats proposed that states be given another chance to ratify the Equal Rights Amendment. This is the 40th Anniversary of the Senate’s passage of the ERA and the first time the Senate has ever considered an ERA bill other than the “Start-over.”

Sen. Ben Cardin (D-MD.) and eight other Democrats proposed a joint resolution that would remove the 1972 deadline for getting 38 states to ratify the Equal Rights Amendment (ERA). By 1982, the ERA had been ratified by 35 states, three short of the 38 needed to become an amendment. Cardin said, that Congress “should give the states another chance,” and said passage of a joint resolution by both the House and Senate extended the deadline once before, in the late 1970s.

Cardin noted that last year, Supreme Court Justice Antonin Scalia said that “certainly the Constitution does not require discrimination on the basis of sex. The only issue is whether it prohibits it. It doesn’t.”

Cardin also stated that the 27th Amendment to the Constitution, which prohibits congressional pay raises from taking effect immediately, was ratified in 1992 – 203 years after first being proposed in 1789 by James Madison.

In 1992, following passage of the 27th Amendment, the ERA Summit, a national coalition working to jump-start a new ratification effort, sought a legal analysis as to whether the ERA’s time limit could be removed. The conclusion of this study: “Why the Equal Rights Amendment Remains Viable and Legally Before the States” pointed out that there was: No time limit in the Constitution, the time limit has already been changed once from 1979 to 1982 and, the ERA’s time limit is in the proposing clause not the Amendment.

Therefore, it was entirely up to Congress whether or not to remove the deadline

Following this analysis, in 1993, ERA activists were successful in getting a Resolution in the US House that would authorize Congress to recognize and accept the ratification by three more states. This bill, known as the “Three-state Strategy” was introduced into every Congress through 2008. During this time, efforts were made by ERA supporters to obtain a companion bill in the US Senate but they were never successful.

In 2009, Carolyn Cook, DC Coordinator for ERA Campaign Network, authored a bill that would remove ERA’s ratification deadline in support of the Three-State Strategy. Jean Landweber, WI Coordinator for ERA Campaign Network, convinced Representative Tammy Baldwin (D-WI) to sponsor the House bill HJ Res 47. It was introduced on the 100th Anniversary of International Women’s Day. March 8, 2011.

Since then, Carolyn Cook worked tirelessly to get a companion bill introduced in the Senate.

SJ Res. 39 was introduced by Senator Ben Cardin (D-MD) on March 22, 2012 to mark the 40th Anniversary of when both Houses of Congress first approved ERA and sent it out to the states. SJ 39 Res. is the companion bill to HJR 47.

SJR 39 Co-sponsors

Co-sponsors of Cardin’s resolution to eliminate the ERA deadline are: Senators. Barbara Boxer (D-CA), Dick Durbin (D-IL.), Kirsten Gillibrand (D-NJ), Tom Harkin (D-IA), Mary Landrieu (D-LA), Frank Lautenberg (DJ), Robert Menendez (D-NJ.) and, Barbara Mikulski (MD).

Your help is needed call Democrats and Republicans NOW,

tell Republicans you will not stand for a Democrat only women’s bill

In order to have a hearing, more co-sponsors are needed.

Please call your Senator Toll free (1-877-762-8762). Ask him or her to become a co-sponsor of SJ Res. 39 & call your Republican Congress to join the Democrats who became a co-sponsor of HJ Res. 47.

Points you can make when calling…

1. Thirty-five states have already ratified  Thus, asking them to “Start-over” takes us all back 40 years as if the ERA had never happened

 2. The fact that Senator  Durbin, Chairman of the Senate Judiciary where an ERA hearing will be held, signed-on from the beginning should be sufficient justification for your Senator to become a co-sponsor.
3. With the War on Women going on, it is unacceptable for our Senators not to help us get a hearing for this approach to ratifying the ERA.
4. Women and girls deserve the ERA after more than 200 years of fighting.
5. The ERA is a matter of simple justice long overdue.

What “Republican War on Women?”

BettyJean Downing Kling
*Updated 3/19/12 see Quote from Cynthia Ruccia

10:47pm Mar 14

I have to laugh every time I hear the phrase “Republican War on Women” perhaps ‘I gag’ is a better characterization of my response.
There is no Republican war on women – there is a Political war on women. Both parties are using women as pawns and it is because we are rated by both parties as second class citizens of little value except as a partisan voting block. We have been fighting for Equal rights since shortly after we fought and won the right to vote.  Most recently, about 65 years ago, women started a new push for Equal Rights and to be recognized a first class citizens with a voice of our own BUT the movement’s leaders SOLD OUT to the political parties and splintered into special interest groups instead. Women have been divided into liberal and conservative camps ever since serving the political parties and the patriarchy perfectly. Instead of amounting to a majority force of 52% they are instead about evenly divided into a weak 25% of which very few bother to mount much of a fight for ERA but instead join forces against other women with the political party they have aligned with if they get involved at all. Instead of a majority force of 52% women they have become absorbed into the male minority which only brings so-called women’s issues in order to further keep the majority from uniting.

When will we learn that if we want Justice for the women and girls in this lifetime we need the ERA? If we want the ERA, we are going to have to fight for it ourselves outside of the two party system and it will take an army of women applying pressure and threats of withholding votes and support which is all politicians understand. A million of us on the DC steps threatening to vote them out should speak to them.

No self respecting woman should wish or work for the success of a party that ignores her sex.”
– Susan B Anthony, 1872 Read more: http://www.city-data.com/forum/elections/475371-what-has-democratic-party-done-women.html#ixzz1pCdrdPKO

If we want such a voice we will need women – lots of women – and we will need women from both sides of the aisle and from the center to get our message understood. Our message is United we Stand, their message is, divided they fall.

To get more women involved – we must stop the infighting and we can do it best by stopping the divisiveness that separates the majority into two or more camps of women making them enemies instead of allies?

I am sick to death of hearing  “the Republicans hold women back!” It’s not just the Republicans, we have been trying to get this done during the reign of both parties for example, most recently during the last 2 years of Bush and clearly the first 2 years of Obama’s administration when the Democrats had full control and the majority in both houses – I didn’t see the Dems shake any trees for women for the ERA. It wasn’t even on the table for the Dems or for any women’s group as a top priority either. So how about we stop the party politics and divisive single issue mantra and start to fight FOR what we really need and want by bringing all women together.

I think it is disingenuous to teach Democratic women to constantly bash Republicans – and by extension the republican women in this fight when the fight during our lifetime has not been the total fault of any one party and certainly not of Republican women who feel insulted by this constant bashing. What do you suppose they think of Dem women who say things like this when they know that liberal politics has drastically changed women’s lives and yet not garnered ALL women EQUALITY or EQUAL PAY in solidarity but rather changed the fight to some women’s issues that did not square with the majority at all but instead fights for minority issues disregarding the ERA big picture.

Remember- When the Democratic Party refused to support women’s suffrage, the National Woman’s Party sought to punish the party by campaigning on behalf of the Republican Party.

Women’s Rights Convention In 1848, the Women’s Right Convention took place in Seneca Falls, New York; thus began the women’s suffrage movement in the United States. A national meeting was held in 1850 in Worcester, Massachusetts; then, in 1870, suffragettes Lucy Stone and Mary Livermore were seated as delegates at the Massachusetts Republican State Convention.

In 1872 at the Republican National Convention, a resolution was passed supporting admission of women “to wider fields of usefulness.” In addition to this resolution was the declaration that “the honest demand of this class of citizens for additional rights . . . should be treated with respectful consideration.” Read more at Suite101: Women and the Republican Party: Suffrage Rights First Fought for by Republicans | Suite101.com http://lindasuegrimes.suite101.com/women-and-the-republican-party-a67082#ixzz1pCc4dr6V

It is also disingenuous to teach Republican women to bash Democrats and their women when much of the progress we have made has been accomplished by the hard work and dedication of proud democrats who are fighting for women’s rights. Where would we be without the hard work of all the women who came before us and fought for better working conditions, better jobs and management positions, better pay, men’s support for more egalitarian family practices, family leave, better educational opportunities including Titles 7 & 9, sexual harassment laws, and so much more.

How can we forget or deny the focus changed and no longer applied to the majority of women and as we lost the focus – women split into conservative and liberal groups and right into the hands of the patriarchy and instead of bringing us back together to get ERA for the Majority – the 52% of all women which inclusive of the all minority women and including both parties and in the interest of justice – we come together on this issue that benefits all women and unites us in a common goal rather than divides us by what we do not share. Shall we instead continue to drag ourselves down listening to those who insist on bringing divisive issues prompted by politicians and their politics into it? These are political hacks and shills not ERA proponents with women’s best interests in mind – if it were not so – they would be binding all women together under the banner for which they fight.

As a woman I must ask each of you — are we all valuable except for women of the opposite party- or sexual preference, or religion, or color?

And if it really were over politics alone explain what happened during the women’s movement there was a * 40 year dry spell for Republicans what did the Democrats do for women?

When the 104th Congress began in January of 1995, it was the first time since the 83rd Congress of 1953—1955 that the Republicans had control of both the House and Senate. They had never controlled the House during the forty-year period of Democratic rule, and only briefly controlled the Senate, during the 97th through 99th Congresses of 1981—1987. http://www.lewrockwell.com/vance/vance96.html

During that drought it was Republican women who marched together with Democrats until politicians helped divide us. To hell with Shaffeley on the Right and her counterpart haters on the Left- let us march together down the center and get it done! Gimme a break – just bring women together to fight FOR something instead of always playing politics. Neither party (of the men, by the men, for the men or church ) and  gives a Rat’s Pitudy about women – it’s up to us to do for ourselves – that is what we should be concentrating on instead of fighting the game set us up to fight – it’s a men’s politics game! There is no republican war on women – there is a misogynist war on women.  Let’s play our own game by our own rules and win Equal Rights for women!

*”A once and often worthy civil rights movement has become a mere parody of its former self.” and: “Time was when real feminists fought for the right of little girls to be educated as well as little boys. Time was when they fought protracted and heartbreaking battles for women[s right to vote. Time was when they fought for the right to own their own property, to be in charge of their own monies, to be eqjuals before the law.
Time was when there were heroines such as Abigail Adams, Lucretia Mott, Sojourner Truth, Susan B. Anthony, and Elizabeth Cady Stanton. Whatever their personal vagaries, oddities, and conflicts may have been, they all fought for core values, values which included women having equal rights in education, in politics, in their homes, and before the law. They fought and suffered on behalf of future generations of women, and the victories they did achieve were made possible by changing laws and/or amending the Constitution–amendments which gave the vote to blacks and women. We don’t see enough of such women anymore.” ~Cynthia Ruccia

Enough already using women as pawns- we are not this stupid. There is a war on women alright but it is not just from the Republicans. It’s ALSO from the Dems blaming the Republicans! We do not need to be told there is a war on women – we know it and we also know we are being used. Both parties want our votes. If you’re not going to be a puppet being used by the left or the right, then why not stand up and ask if either party gave a damned why aren’t they putting more women on their slates? Are they picking lady VP’s this year? Are they filling their cabinets half full of women? War on women INDEED! The original suffragists had the right idea a National Woman’s Party could be bigger and stronger than either of these two lame ducks who would be nothing without us!
