She had no problem telling you exactly why! In true Sarah Palin honest fashion this true grit Lady is no politics as usual Lady.
She came out swinging, She wants to do what is best for her great state. In her speech she clearly maintains her Independence.
In a great Independence Day Eve move, she says she is doing what is best for Alaska. She wants to take the fight for Alaska in a different direction. I am so proud of this beautiful lady as she says she was spending 80% of her time defending herself against bogus attacks which are preventing her from full time governing. How could she effectively govern when she was forced to constantly defend herself against false ethics complains which by have all been thrown out. 15 ethics complains costing Alaska and her family time and money.
Please note- that they cut away before she was even done with her speech. Then Crystal and others said she had been spouting a self centered, rambling, complaining, poor me speech! Huh? Thes jackasses call this complining? I call it coming out swinging- no holes barred.
As women we must unite and make sure that this never happens again, there is a pattern here – it’s clear- women who dare to run for high office will be pilloried and their family will be fair game. Her baby was recently plastered all over the internet as a facially disfigured baby. She and her entire family has been ridiculed and harassed in far greater measure than any man has ever endured in a run for public office.
I submit- we must all stand up for Sarah Palin as this has risen to heights that will set a new precedent for how we treat female candidates. We either beat this back now or watch it escalate even further beyond our wildest nightmares.
I sure hope that was her opening speech for her presidential campaign someday! She sounds tired of the old boys politics as usual club and so am I- how about you?

Is it too early for the new leadership of NOW to make a statement?
As far as I am concerned it is never too early for any women to make a possitive statement about another women who is being trown under the bus by pundints and the media. All kinds of accusations and not one women’s groups leaders past present or future besides me at FUN/TMU asking other women to take her at her word and cheer her on for taking on the goood old boys from both sides with their dirty politics as usual tactics.
Someone said on another blog:
“Just got a phone call from ***** at Conservative Women United–.donations to Sarah Pac just went up 40%.”
and ‘that a very large donation just came in to Team Sarah’
I hope so, I really hope so.
Dallas is having a Tea Pary tomorrow with expected crowd of 50,000 at Southfork.
Think I will take a Hillary/Palin 2012 sign and ask others fed up with the good ol boys to do the same.

Your post expresses my feelings exactly. It’s nauseating to watch the analysts try to make something out of this other than what it is. I truly believe it has been so long since a genuinely honest and forthright person has run for office that the press and other politicians are just baffled by those qualities in her.
If we just stand by and watch and let them get away with this treatment of her, it will be decades (and possibly eons) before another independent-minded woman will get a chance.
The press/media is guilty of projection–they are dishonest therefore she is dishonest. They dissemble therefore she is guilty of dissembling. And I would venture to say that many of them hear her as a grownup child hears the mother, reading into her statements their own preconceptions.
i will take the lady at face value–I believe that she is straightforward and honest, that she says what she means. She does not need an interpreter.
Or a teleprompter. ; )
Sarah Palin resigns, and SLAMS THE ADMINISTRATION AND THE MEDIA!
She is the ONLY ONE standing in front of the media and telling them what a CORRUPT Government and media we have…THANK GOD FOR SARAH! She said that she vetoed the stimulus because it was IMMORAL! She said that she could fight better while out of office ACROSS THE COUNTRY! She said she chooses to FIGHT for our Country and I believe she is really is … THE ONE! Unlike McCain, she really did put her Country first. She knows she can say WHATEVER she wants to now! And I for one can’t wait to hear her speak more!
I am sending money to her campaign and If I have to I will go to Alaska to help her fight off those freak ass liberals that continue to attack her! We FINALLY WILL HAVE A VOICE! She won’t have to “hold her tongue” like all the other looser republicans are doing saying Obama is so “smart” and “blah, blah, blah”She will come out and say he is attempting to destroy our country, as everyone else should be. But only Sarah has the guts to say it and I hope she does it as well as she just did in her speech! GO GET EM SARAH…I will fight for you and along side of you!

Well-behaved women seldom make history! If only Hillary would become a PUMA and Sarah pubically support the ERA. Let’s pause for a moment and consider the possibilities for ALL women if we were controlling the agenda.
Enough women will remain “ladies” themselves and silently root for the Baracuda. As in Nine to Five: when the time came, Dolly Partin could say $hi_ with the best of us.
Finally: listen to her words and use them in referencing this event. Sarah’s role in Alaska’s progress has changed. A teammate is taking over from here in order for her to parler her strategic advantage while everybody is so interested in anything she does. Last summer, we carefully scrutinized Hillary’s statements for the codes. Sarah is signalling her supporters with a true show of leadership by saying this is ‘NO MORE POLITICS AS USUAL” She is reading the future and pulling it down from the ethers. Most of the msm and politicians can’t see it until it is completely spelled out on paper. What makes her a genius is the unique ability to manifest her vision. Her Secret Service protection should be stepped up substantially.
A Wake Up Call to “Team Sarah” and its Members:
The following statement from Team Sarah “leadership” was not only unnecessary, but really, really shortsightedly stupid, at best.
This is the very kind of divisiveness (on both sides of the fence among women) that helped cost Hillary Clinton and/or McCain Palin the election!
How did that work out for either side? Obama!
(Obama’s team capitalized greatly on this kind of divisive “conservative” and or “liberal” elitism).
Here is the Team Sarah statement:

In sum, this kind of diatribe against “liberal feminists” could hurt Sarah’s chances far more than rally support.
As I type this, many women in the “liberal” arenas are trying to find reasons to actually support Sarah and this DOES NOT help.
The impact that this kind of intentionally divisive garbage has upon us all is not merely relegated to the political spectrum, but it impacts our effectiveness in enacting and furthering Public Policy on behalf of all women, children and middle American families.
When are we going to Stop Shooting Ourselves In The Legs?
We are all Women – and our common interests are far greater than our divide — unless we keep perpetuating the divide with these kind of Divisive, Self-Aggrandizing statements!
